The tournament is the second sub-station competition held by the "Zheng Jie Cup" this year after the Beijing station, and it is also the first national tournament hosted after the upgrading and renovation of the Jingtian Tennis Center in Futian District, Shenzhen, and it is also the third anniversary of the establishment of zheng jie (Shenzhen) International Tennis Club.

"12 years ago, in order to give young tennis players more opportunities to participate in the competition, my team and I launched the 'Zheng Jie Cup' tournament." Zheng Jie, who won the two Grand Slam women's doubles championships, said at the opening ceremony, "This year is the sixth year of the 'Zheng Jie Cup' held in Shenzhen, the holding of the event in 6 years, the transformation of the venue and the development of the club are inseparable from the support of all parties, my team and I will uphold the original intention of promoting tennis, all the way forward, and contribute to the development of Chinese tennis!" ”

Fa Shu, Managing Director of WTA Asia Pacific, sent his blessings to the event via video, saying: "I hope that more Chinese players in the WTA will appear, and maybe the next small golden flower can be found in this competition." ”

The competition lasts for three days, with four age groups of U8, U10, U12 and U14, adopting a group round robin and knockout format, and 8 categories will be decided on the 3rd.

The tournament was sponsored by the Publicity Department of the Futian District Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Shenzhen Futian District Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, named by Yonex (Shanghai) Sporting Goods Co., Ltd., funded by the special fund for the development of publicity, culture and sports in Futian District, Shenzhen, and supported by the Chinese Tennis Association.
