Anyuan Children's Regiment (1922)

In 1922, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the road miners united to hold a general strike at the Anyuan Coal Mine, which won the final victory. In the course of the strike, the Party created the first revolutionary organization for children and young people, the Anyuan Children's League, in the Anyuan mining area on the border of Hunan and Jiangxi. In the organization, the members of the league learned cultural and revolutionary knowledge together, participated in the strike struggle, did what they could, and exercised and grew up in the revolutionary struggle.

Labor Scouts (1924-1927)

Soon after the birth of the Anyuan Children's League, the Communist Party of China established the Labor Boy Group in Wuhan, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Tangshan and other cities. The main tasks of the regiment members were: to sell newspapers on the streets and collect donations for the revolution; to wash the wounds of the wounded, change medicine, feed food, and wash clothes; and to actively participate in actions such as standing guard, putting up sentries, and putting up slogans.

Communist Children's League (1927-1936)

During the agrarian revolutionary war, the Communist Party of China established communist children's leagues (hereinafter referred to as communist children's regiments) in various revolutionary base areas. Its main tasks are to mobilize the broad masses of children to read, write, sing, and draw; to take an active part in the local struggle to fight local tyrants and divide up the land; to help the Red Army reconnoiter the enemy's situation, to pick up bullet casings, and to collect military supplies.

Anti-Japanese Children's League (1937-1945)

During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Communist Party of China established anti-Japanese children's regiments in the vast anti-Japanese base areas. While the members of the Anti-Japanese Children's League were studying and busy with production, they also shouldered the tasks of propagating anti-Japanese propaganda, reconnaissance of enemy situations, catching traitors, standing guard and sending letters.

Children's Regiment and Underground Young Pioneers (1946-1948)

During the Liberation War, the Communist Party of China established the Young Pioneers on the basis of the Anti-Japanese Children's League. The team members learned about culture and science, organized rescue, transportation, communication and other groups, and actively participated in activities such as supporting the front line.

Young Pioneers of China (1949—)

In October 1949, in accordance with the instructions of the Party Central Committee, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League issued a resolution on October 13 to establish the Chinese Children's Brigade throughout the country. In June 1953, the Chinese Children's Team was renamed the "Chinese Young Pioneers". October 13 of each year is designated as the Founding Day of the Young Pioneers of China.

In 1963, the PARTY Central Committee issued a call to "learn from Comrade Lei Feng," and the Young Pioneers throughout the country organized activities to "learn from Uncle Lei Feng."; at the beginning of reform and opening up, the Young Pioneers generally carried out activities such as "five stresses, four beauty, three loves" and "everyone strives to wear a new fashion and little red flower"; since the 1990s, children of all nationalities throughout the country have carried out activities such as "hand in hand" making friends; since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Young Pioneers have actively organized and carried out such theme activities as "Red Scarf Heart to the Party" and "Red Scarf Meets the Chinese Dream" Since the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Young Pioneers have organized activities such as "striving to be a good member of the new era", "I am a little dreamer", and "fighting for the red scarf"...
