Emperor Fun Facts I Am Your Father 1.1 Emperor Yuan Shun was the son of Emperor Gong of Song1.2 Emperor Yongle was the son of Emperor Yuan Shun 2.3 Emperor Ming Xuanzong was the son of Emperor Jianwen

In history, the probability of the emperor being a father is very small, but there are many stories that like to like the legend that the emperor is happy to be a father. In Chinese history, there are three emperors, Emperor Gong of Song, Emperor Yuanshun, and Emperor Jianwen, who have been "liked to be fathers" by contemporaries or posterity in the form of rumors.

Emperor Yuanshun was the son of Emperor Gong of Song; Emperor Yongle was the son of Emperor Yuanshun; and Emperor Xuanzong of Ming was the son of Emperor Jianwen.

The above three rumors of mutual recognition of sons do not come from the fabrication of modern storytelling, but from the "records" that the ancients said.

1.1 Emperor Shun of Yuan was the son of Emperor Gong of Song

Emperor Gong of Song was one of the last emperors of the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhao Xian, who was made the Duke of Yingguo after surrendering, then became a monk in Tibet, became one of the ancestors of the Sakya sect, and finally died in Hexi in the third year of zhizhi because of the suspicion of Emperor Yuanyingzong.

According to the thirteenth year of orthodox Jinshi Huang Pu's notebook "Idle In the Present and Ancient Records", the wife of Emperor Gong of Song, Zhao Xian, was very beautiful, and Emperor Yuanmingzong and Shi Yu were amazed at first sight, so they took it for themselves, but they did not expect that at that time, Zhao Xian's wife was pregnant, and the son born was the good last emperor Yuan Shun Emperor TuJue Timur. (The wife of the young lord of the former Song Dynasty was Youyi, and Emperor Yuanmingzong saw that he was beautiful and happy, and was born to Emperor Shun.) )

So is this legend derived from Huang Pu's nonsense? Not.

Emperor Yuanshun

Rumors also have a source, decades ago, in the "Tong jian Bo Theory" of Zhu Quan, one of the nine great kings of the Ming Dynasty, there was a conclusive record of "Emperor Yuanshun was the son of Emperor Gong of Song", but it was slightly different from the "Ancient Record of Idle And Present". The Tongjian Bo Theory records that Emperor Yuanshun himself was the son born to the wife of Emperor Zhao Xian of Song Gong, and when he was born, light bloomed in the night, so Emperor Yuanmingzong raised him as his own son. At the end, Zhu Quan, the king of Ning, also expressed his feelings through the mouth of the "national people":

The people of the country called the Emperor Ben song descendants, in order to repay the Yuan's destruction of the Song. Heaven is good, and of course it is also true.

1.2 The Yongle Emperor was the son of Emperor Yuanshun

According to the "Golden History of Mongolia", when the last emperor of the Yuan Dynasty, Emperor Yuanshun, fled north, his concubine Hatun from the Hongji Lati tribe hid in the urn, but was still captured by the Ming army and presented to Zhu Yuanzhang. Hatun was three months pregnant, so she prayed to heaven: Please let my child be born again by Thirteen months. Her prayers worked, and indeed she gave birth to a son after thirteen months of pregnancy, which was Zhu Di, the fourth son of Zhu Yuanzhang.

This legend that Ming Taizu Xidangda and Zhu Di were descendants of Mongolia was widely spread in Mongolia. The late Priest Tian Qingbo, an expert in Mongolian history, discovered two 1907 1907 Mongolian manuscripts while collecting information in the Ordos region of the Yikezhao League in Inner Mongolia. The manuscript's title translates into Chinese as "How the Emperor Yongle of Daming Built the City of Beijing", and the subtitles are "Prince Yuan" and "True Prince", of which "Prince Yuan" refers to Zhu Di, the King of Yan, and "True Prince" refers to Emperor Jianwen Zhu Yunjiao.

Yongle Emperor

The same record abounds in the Han chinese historical records of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and this Concubine Hatun of the Yuan Shun Emperor from the Hongji Latu Department is the so-called "concubine" of the Mongols.

In the early Qing Dynasty historian Zhu Yizun's "Jing Zhiju Poetry Volume XIII", "Shen Yuanhua Tiao", the record of "Concubine Qi" states that although the Yongle Emperor often said that he was the fourth son of Empress Ma, according to the Ming Dynasty's "Chronicle of Nanjing Taichang Temple", during the sacrifice, Empress Ma stood in the south, and the other concubines stood in the east, only Concubine Ma stood on the west side. Zhu Yizun, in line with the rigor of historians, did not prove it in isolation, and originally thought that this kind of thing was not necessarily true. However, after he later read Shen Dali's "Chronicle of the Southern Capital Fengxian Temple", he found that this statement that "concubines are born of eternal happiness" is not an isolated evidence. Shen Dali, also known as Shen Xuanhua, was a forty-one-year jinshi of Jiajing, and as the secretary of the Dali Temple, he came to visit the Nandu Fengxian Hall and wrote a poem describing what he saw and heard. The poem describes in detail what he saw in the Bongsien Temple:

The concubines are in the eastern order, and one concubine is alone in the west. Born of Cheng Zuzhong, Concubine De Mo dares to qi. At first sight, "True Record" can be audited?

That is to say, in the Fengxian Hall, as recorded in the "Chronicle of the Taichang Temple in Nanjing", only the concubines were independent of the west. He sighed: Seeing can be true, even if the record above the "Record of Reality" is not necessarily correct.

Of course, whether the Yongle Emperor was the son of Concubine Qi, this can be discussed. However, the so-called yuanshun emperor's widow does not need to be discussed at all, because the time point is not right at all. This is also just a rumor.

2.3 Emperor Xuanzong of Ming was the son of Emperor Jianwen

According to the Ming Dynasty Liang Yi's "Records of Transmissions", Emperor Xuanzong of my Ming Dynasty was actually the son of Emperor Jianwen. When the city of Nanjing was destroyed, Emperor Xuanzong Zhu Zhanji was only two or three years old and was adopted by an old palace girl in the palace. One day, this old palace girl let the young Xuanzong crawl to the ground and ask the Yongle Emperor for food. Seeing this scene, the Yongle Emperor was greatly moved, saying: This world was originally your father, Emperor Jianwen, and now you are still young and cannot inherit the throne. You wait a few years, and sooner or later the world will be yours.

Ming Xuanzong

So later, Yongle passed on the throne of Renzong, and Renzong passed on the throne of Xuanzong, and the world returned to the hands of Zhu Yuanzhang's eldest son.

In fact, from Zhu Di's cruel methods against Zhu Wengui, a descendant of Emperor Jianwen's Zheng'er Bajing, it can be found that this record is completely fantastic.

This statement was also included in the "Chuan Doubts" volume of the Jianwen Compilation of Dynasties and Wilds. The compilers of the Four Libraries were very dismissive of this statement:

Cover the history of the wild rumors... Emperor Xuanzong was the son of Emperor Hui, and he was especially unscrupulous.

Although "Xi Dang Daddy" is absurd, we can find that whether it is Emperor Gong of Song, Emperor Yuanshun, or Emperor Jianwen, they are all tragic emperors in history. The masses of the people tend to sympathize with the losers, so in a legendary way, let them become the immediate parents of the "winners" and complete the classic A-Q-style spiritual victory.
