The warm autumn sun sprinkled on an ancient road in Luojiadu, the pine forest was as clear as a wash, just like the two famous masters when they strolled in the past; not far away, the Wujiang River was gushing, and the lin tao blowing from the mountains swept across the billowing river, and the ensemble played a series of tragic sounds connected by mountains and rivers, as if countless masters had played the "Homesick Song" full of family and national feelings. When the reporter walked into the Stone Pipe Port of Lechangping with nearly 100 tourists yesterday, time seemed to stand still here, and the poetic scenes that had written a brilliant page in China's modern academic and artistic history once again appeared in the world.
Behind this poetic scene, the little-known story of Wu Jun, the lyricist of the famous anti-war song "Rhododendron", lived and learned in Pingshi, Ma Sicong successfully created two major classics in the midst of the magnificent rivers and mountains of northern Guangdong, and the two "Mr. Pingshi" pine forest dialogues created literary and artistic masterpieces... A long-sealed "Mr. Pingshi" good story quietly surfaced.
Scene: famous schools, famous songs, famous artists, famous teachers
Attract students and tourists to compete for "treasure hunting"
Yesterday, at the Educational History Exhibition Hall of the Normal College of National Sun Yat-sen University in Guanbu, He Kunliang, who was more than a year old, explained with deep affection to the masses who came to visit the history of running schools in the Period of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. After listening to the wonderful explanation, the tourist Liu Qiuwei had a feeling and sang a melodious "Rhododendron" for the tourists on the spot. Subsequently, teachers and students from Shaoguan College played Ma Sicong's "Homesick Song" with deep feelings.
Liu Qiuwei said: "I studied music since I was a child and have a special love for revolutionary songs. When I was a child, I often heard old people sing this song, but at that time I didn't quite understand the meaning of the song. This year, I took advantage of the holiday to come to Guanbu Village, and after listening to the explanation, I had a more comprehensive understanding of that period of history, and I was more moved by the spirit of Mr. Pingshi's continued education in the flames. Singing "Rhododendron" again today, both the mood and the feelings are very different. ”
On the same day, the students of the School of Arts of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies participated in the morning activities in the form of online videos, and learned and felt the activities of the Pingshi Research Base of Education History in South China. Student Wang Qiuhuan said that Mr. Ma Sicong's famous song still sounds like a boiling blood today.
Testimony: Like blood "azaleas" he laughs in the bushes
"On a faint March day, azaleas bloom on the hillside, and azaleas bloom on the banks of streams..." Yesterday, this beautiful and beautiful lyrical song "Rhododendron", which was re-sung in Pingshi, was a war song that was widely circulated in South China in the 1940s. At that time, it can be said that whenever there were Chinese overseas, this beautiful song would often be sung. But what many people don't know is that this famous song was written at the foot of Tieling Mountain, a rhododendron blooming in LechangPingshi.
At that time, the Faculty of Letters of CUHK was at the foot of the mountain called Tieling in Pingshi, and every year until March, the mountains were full of wild rhododendrons, and they were fiery red. However, when the country was in trouble, Wu Jun, a young poet who was studying at the university here at the time, thought of the shouts and the battlefield full of blood and fire, so he wrote this famous new poem.
"Rhododendron" has become the lifelong masterpiece of composer Huang Youdi, and to this day, some people call Huang Youdi "the azalea forever". The "rhododendron" native to Pingshi Tieling has spread all over the world. Huang Youdi's name is very popular in the Chinese music scene, but there is relatively little information about Wu Jun, the lyricist of "Azalea". Volunteers of the Third Provincial Division consulted the archives of the Guangdong Provincial Archives and found that Wujun, whose original name was Fang Jianpeng, was born in Huilai on April 17, 1916. When Wujun was young, he was passionate about literature, especially new poetry. He joined the revolutionary activities earlier, and he continued to finish high school in Hong Kong before being admitted to Sun Yat-sen University, and was already a member of the Communist Party of China at CUHK. After returning to CUHK, he initiated and organized the "Lingfeng Literary and Art Society" as a peripheral organization of our party, and founded the poetry magazine "Poetry Station" to unite progressive young people, publicize the anti-Japanese resistance, and fight against the reactionaries.
Experience: The magnificent Wushui Danshan witnessed Ma Sicong's creation of famous songs
From a winding ancient path in Pingshi Pipe Port to the mountain, to the half slope, the view is suddenly open. The pine waves in the ears are gusting, and every pine branch that the mountain wind has swept by is shouting; the sparkling under the mountain, every drop of water under the clear autumn sun, is reflecting the light; Wushui is like a "few" shaped rings protecting the red sandstone, like a horse hitting the rock wall, every wave is rushing and roaring. This scene suddenly makes people feel that Ma Sicong stood here for a long time more than half a century ago, and finally achieved the artistic conception of "Violin Concerto in F major" and "First Symphony".
On the banks of the magnificent Danshan Wushui River, Ma Sicong completed his Symphony No. 1 and Violin Concerto in F major, two representative symphonic works. He made this explanation for the first work of the violin concerto genre in the strict sense of China's modern and contemporary era, "Violin Concerto in F major": "This concerto was composed in northern Guangdong in 1943, which is the era of the War of Resistance Against Japan, and life is hard but quiet. The concerto reflects the natural scenery there, as well as the confidence and excitement of the time. "The northern Guangdong mentioned here is the Pingshi Pipe Port. As a result, Guanbu has left a strong mark in the history of the development of modern and contemporary Chinese music.
In 1948, Ma Sicong's wife Wang Muli also commented on the time in Pingshi: "The environment is quiet, life is stable, and several of his (Ma Sicong's) major works, such as the First Symphony and the Concerto, were completed at that time without difficulty, which can be said to be the golden age of his writing." Naturally, he wanted to relive those days, and we were trying to find ways to do it. ”
The sound of cannons does not hinder the sound of books, and the beacon fire does not hinder the spread of fire. From the memories of Ma Sicong and his wife, it can be seen that although in the context of the era when the cannon was rumbling, the "Mr. Pingshi" and the energetic young students in Guanbu still created a relatively calm learning and education environment. Secondly, in the context of the beautiful scenery and tragic times, Ma Sicong's creative enthusiasm is undoubtedly at its peak, which allows him to exert his majestic feelings in his works. As he himself said: "In the symphony, I should write about the hopes and struggles, patience and glory of the Chinese nation in this vast era." ”
