In the long history of the Chinese nation, countless people with lofty ideals and benevolent spirits have emerged, and their precious patriotic sentiments and national spirit are admirable. It can be compared with the sky and can compete with the sun and the moon.
More than two thousand years ago, Qu Yuan's tragic journey to jiangsu was touching, and the feelings of his homeland were admirable; and more than two thousand years later, a generation of music giants Ma Sicong used his life to compose his love for the motherland, saying that "we must dedicate every note to the motherland."

In 1912, Ma Sicong was born in Haifeng, Guangdong, when he was 9 years old, he went to Guangzhou Peizheng Middle School to study in primary school, which was the first time in his life that he was exposed to advanced Western music such as violin.
At the age of 11, Ma Sicong went to France to study and was admitted to the preparatory class of the French National Conservatory. Ma Sicong, known as the "musical prodigy", has a high degree of achievement in music.
At the age of 16, he broke through many difficulties and entered the violin class of the National Conservatory of Music in Paris with excellent results, majoring in violin performance and composition, becoming the first yellow person in China and even Asia to enter this institution of higher learning.
In 1930, Ma Sicong returned to China after completing his studies, and with a passion for music, he devoted himself to music performance, composition creation and educational activities, playing violin in Guangdong, Hong Kong, Shanghai and other places, which was a sensation and widely appreciated.
In 1932, together with his friend Chen Hong, he founded the private Guangzhou Conservatory of Music, ma Sicong served as the first president, he was discerning, selected and trained a large number of musical talents, and also met his future wife Wang Muli. At that time, Wang Muli and his brother Wang Heng went to the academy to learn piano, and after Wang Heng's introduction, Ma Sicong and Wang Muli soon fell in love and got married.
When the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression broke out in 1937 and the domestic situation was turbulent, Ma Sicong held high the great banner of patriotism, and the feelings of home and country flowing in his blood became his powerful spiritual motivation.
He composed countless anti-war songs, and in the era of war, his music inspired people and brought comfort to innocent people and soldiers who suffered from war. One of the most classic immortal masterpieces is the widely sung "Homesick Song", which expresses the feelings of nostalgia for his hometown, and the afterglow is lingering and plucking the heartstrings.
In 1990, at the banquet of Zhang Xueliang's 90th birthday, Zhang Xueliang made a request to listen to Ma Sicong's "Homesick Song", and when the gentle lyrical melody echoed in the hall, the 90-year-old man was in tears, and everyone around him choked and bowed his head.
In 1942, Ma Sicong, his wife and children returned to their hometown of Haifeng, Guangdong, and at the suggestion of his cousin, he attached new words to "Homesick Song", and after the founding of New China, "Homesick Song" was designated as the opening song of the Central People's Radio's broadcast to Taiwan and overseas Chinese. Homesickness, deep affection. Who would have thought that this song originally composed for the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression would become a true portrayal of his later life.
Since Western music has not yet been popularized in China, many people cannot accept Western instruments. So Ma Sicong began to vigorously promote the violin, created a large number of violin works, and performed in major cities to stage the "violin recital".
Every time he played his wife, he would accompany him on the piano, and the money earned from the performance was donated to the place where there was difficulty. Ma Sicong has made outstanding contributions to China's music industry, and he is known as "the first person in China's violin".
In 1947, Ma Sicong became the president of the Chinese Conservatory of Music in Hong Kong, and he used a song "The Chorus of the Motherland" to express his indictment of difficulties, praise of struggle, deep affection for the motherland and yearning for new China.
After 1950, Ma Sicong served as the first dean of the Central Conservatory of Music and concurrently served as the vice chairman of the Chinese Musicians Association, composing countless classic masterpieces. For example, the "Chinese Junior Pioneer Team Song", "Spring Chorus", and "Joyful Suite" that have been handed down to this day.
During the appointment of the first dean, Ma Sicong was like Bole, he cherished talents, discerned pearls, and under his cultivation, a large number of famous Chinese and foreign musical talents were born. Among them, the selection of Lin Yaoji for "Listening to the Wall" has become a legendary story in the music industry. At that time, 15-year-old Lin Yaoji was studying violin from Wen Zhanmei, and Ma Sicong temporarily lived in Wen Zhanmei's home because he went to Guangdong to enroll.
Once when the students returned to the teacher's class, Lin Yaoji played a "Spanish Symphony", and Ma Sicong, who listened to the wall, heard it and praised it, and immediately decided to break Green Yaoji. By a godsend, Lin Yaoji became a full student of the Central Conservatory of Music and began practicing professional musical violin.
Lin Yaoji has always been grateful to Ma Sicong and is proud of it, in the "Lin Yaoji Interview", he said, "I love the violin, and it is really Mr. Ma Sicong who has influenced me all my life. "
As a pioneer of violin in the Chinese music industry, Ma Sicong has a high degree of achievement in music, he swims in the ocean of music, feels the joys and sorrows, and tells joys and sorrows. He was full of momentum and waved a wave of fangs, he said, "We must dedicate every note to the motherland."

Mountain rain is about to come and the wind is full of buildings, and black clouds are pressing down on the city to destroy. The atmosphere of freedom and openness in domestic music did not last long, and it was destroyed by the blows of one movement after another.
Some young students were arrested and criticized for writing articles discussing symphonies, and even escorted to the Northern Wilderness Labor Reform. Ma Sicong personally has also been criticized for "guiding students only to be red", saying that he is exalted and plays Schubert's "Ode to the Virgin" to introduce people to the church.
Ma Sicong did not think so, but in the summer of 1966, Ma Sicong's life underwent earth-shaking changes. On a Sunday in May, a student ran to Ma Sicong's house and said that he could no longer learn the piano with his teacher, because the proletarian revolution had begun, and learning the piano was obsessed with bourgeois life.
In June, a group of rapidly advancing students chanted slogans and besieged Ma Sicong, shouting "Down with the bourgeois reactionary authority Ma Sicong, down with the vampire Ma Sicong." He also ordered Ma Sicong to post large posters at home and read them every day for reflection.
The gangsters ordered Ma Sicong's wife to clean the streets every day and write a daily document exposing Ma Sicong's crimes. Under all kinds of suffering, Wang Muli, his son and daughter planned to leave Beijing and escape from this life of constant threats and intimidation. At this time, Ma Sicong was determined to stay, he could not bear to leave the motherland, and even if he was imprisoned in the "Socialist Academy" for examination, he still had a glimmer of hope.
As long as the program broadcast by the Central People's Radio to Taiwan and overseas Chinese begins with his "Homesick Song," he still has hope, and he believes that the day when "another village of willows and dark flowers and bright lights" will eventually come.
However, against the background of the turbulent times, he still could not wait for the day when liu was dark and bright, and he waited for the program song of the Central People's Radio for Taiwan and overseas Chinese to be replaced by "Dongfang Hong". He was eventually knocked down, and he felt disheartened and refused to leave his homeland.
At the end of 1966, Ma Sicong's youngest daughter Ma Ruixue secretly ran back to Beijing because she was worried about her father, when Ma Sicong had experienced hardships, his face was haggard and described as dry, Ma Ruixue was distressed by his father, so he persuaded him to leave this place of right and wrong and flee to Hong Kong to avoid the wind and recuperate.
The stubborn Ma Sicong immediately refused, and those who have been upright all their lives and are worthy of the country and the people will not be deserters, and he will resolutely not leave. The persuasion was fruitless, and the daughter had to conceal the plan to go to Hong Kong by boat, and suggested that in order for her father to recover well, she would first take a train south to Guangzhou, and then go to the South China Sea, and then consider the long term when the domestic situation recovered.
In this way, 53 years ago, After a fierce ideological struggle, Ma Sicong finally took a boat to Hong Kong with his family, and then defected to his brother who settled in the United States. Since these days, they have been persecuted by the extreme "Z" line, and in order to survive, they have to go far away and wander in all directions, but in the end, they will be labeled as "treason and surrender to the enemy" and suffer humiliation.

deeply loved and returned home

Destroying the party and bringing calamity to the country and the people, so that the world's talents are scattered. In turbulent times, countless literati and scholars could not bear the psychological and physical devastation, some swore to die and fought with their lives, and some were forced to leave their homes helplessly. Obviously, Ma Sicong belonged to the latter, he did not go to the river as tragically as Qu Yuan, and his righteousness was awe-inspiring; he had no choice but to leave just to survive, he was not wrong, but he was wronged for 19 years in vain.
In this regard, Ma Sicong stressed and clarified many times before his death: I am not sorry for the motherland, and what I betray is not the motherland, but those who betray the motherland.
At home, it even strictly and thoroughly investigated Ma Sicong's "treason and surrender to the enemy" case, implicating dozens of people and imprisoning them. Ma Sicong's second brother jumped to his death, and his mother-in-law, niece and cook were all persecuted to death. This was undoubtedly not a greater harm to Ma Sicong, so much so that he was cautious and thoughtful when he later considered returning to China.
Ma Sicong is in the United States, homesick and dreaming of the motherland. He said, can the country get better, when will the guest robe be washed? Having a home but not being able to return is the sadness of Ma Sicong's life. He lives in simplicity, immersed in the world of music, immersed in the creation of music, sweeping away the fallen leaves in his leisure time, seemingly undistracted.
In 1985, Ma Sicong received the "notice of complete rehabilitation of Ma Sicong's unjust case", and he was extremely excited, and he said to reporters: Su Wu has been shepherding sheep for 19 years! Spring is back! He also received a letter of confession from the student who humiliated him, and in the face of the invitation to return to China, Ma Sicong was particularly cautious, he still had a shadow on the catastrophe at home, he said that he would go back when the domestic situation was more stable and the time was more ripe.
Who would have thought that a small heart bypass surgery would make Ma Sicong's life forever frozen at the age of 76, on the cold operating table in Philadelphia, USA, a generation of musical genius Ma Sicong, suddenly passed away, deplorable.
In "Homesick Song", it is sung: When the red flower blooms everywhere, the petals are rendered with cry marks, and all of them have returned with the wind. Ma Sicong, a patriotic musician for a lifetime, was eventually transported back to his motherland 20 years after his death and buried in the foothills of Baiyun Mountain in Guangzhou. The fallen leaves return to the roots, which is the long-cherished wish of Ma Sicong and the whole family.
The Scythians are gone, but the ghosts live on. Ma Sicong's love for the motherland seems to be deeply rooted in the blood, he has experienced ups and downs but has not yielded to the injustice of fate, and soothed one wounded soul after another with music. He has adhered to his home and country feelings all his life, and he is proud of his bones and is proud of his temperament, just like the ancient flow of rivers and rivers, shining forever. The mountains and rivers remain in their shape, and the thousand autumns are clear.
