Linyi, China, October 16 (Zhao Xiao) The 2021 China Red Tourism Promotion Alliance Annual Conference and the theme activity of "Following the Communist Party" were held in Linyi Yinan County, an old revolutionary area in Shandong Province. Representatives of member units of the China Red Tourism Promotion Alliance, red tourism experts, and enterprise representatives gathered in Yimeng to discuss strategies to promote the development of red tourism and help revitalize the old revolutionary areas.

Xu Haijun, deputy director of the Department of Resource Development of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, attended the event and said that this year is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the red tourism boom has swept the country, and the red cultural spirit has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Based on the new stage of development and in the face of the people's higher-level needs, it is necessary to put the promotion of red culture and the inheritance of red genes in the first place of red tourism, give full play to the educational function of red tourism, and at the same time make red tourism an important carrier of patriotic and revolutionary traditional education, an important channel for enriching the spiritual and cultural life of the people, and an important driving force for the development of the tourism economy, especially the economy of the old areas.

Sun Shu'e, member of the party group and deputy director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Shandong Province, said in her speech that Shandong is an old revolutionary area and a red hot land, and in recent years, it has dug deep into red resources, creatively transformed and utilized red cultural resources, built a red product system with Shandong characteristics, innovated and developed red tourism cultural and creative products, strengthened the integrated development of red tourism, and actively created red tourism performing arts, told shandong red stories, let red tourism become a strong driving force for the economic and social development of the old revolutionary areas, and showed the unique charm of qilu red culture.

On the same day, the alliance units jointly issued the "Red Tourism Helps the Old Revolutionary Areas Revitalize Yimeng Consensus", which includes: strengthening ideals and beliefs, cohesion, and joint construction; continuing the red bloodline, carrying forward the inheritance and practicing with one heart; practicing the mass line, red engine, and common prosperity; deepening reform and innovation, advancing with the times, and creating the future, a total of four parts.

At the annual meeting of the Alliance, three new member units of the Alliance were added: the Department of Culture and Tourism of Jiangsu Province, the Chongqing Municipal Commission for Culture and Tourism Development, and the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and the total number of member units of the Alliance increased from 26 to 29.

During the event, the participants also observed the red tourism resources Zhuquan Village, the birthplace of the Yimeng Mountain Minor, the Menglianggu Battle Memorial Hall, the Zhujialin Pastoral Complex, and the Hongjiao Hometown Tourist Area, and watched the large-scale immersive epic drama "Yimeng Four Seasons, Red Sister-in-law" literary and artistic performances; the online display of red performing arts works in the "Qiluyun Theater" and the display of red cultural and creative products were also carried out simultaneously.
