The Tang Dynasty Ancient Road was the road into Tibet 1300 years ago, and it was this avenue that the famous Princess Wencheng married the Tubo king Songzan Gampo. The avenue spanned five provinces and regions in present-day Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Sichuan, and Tibet. It is not only an official road for trade exchanges with pro-Nagong, but also a "cultural canal" that carries Sino-Tibetan friendship and the spread of science and technology culture.
From 2010 to 2013, experts inside and outside the province examined that Shiqu County is a must-pass place for this ancient road, which not only leaves many legends of Princess Wencheng's entry into Tibet, but also preserves the remains of stone carving culture from more than 1,300 years ago.
