It is said that in the process of negotiations on the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Japan in 1972, Tanaka Kakuei visited China and was warmly received by Premier Zhou Enlai, who mentioned the Xin Yang Cellar wine to the Chinese reception staff at that time and entrusted the Chinese personnel to help find it.

However, due to the attention of his international friend Tanaka Kakuei, the government attached great importance to it, and it is said that Shu Tong, who was the secretary of the Huxi Prefectural Committee at the time, learned of this matter and instructed the Shan County Distillery in Heze City to send people to resume the production of "Xin Yang Cellar Wine" at the original distillery's former site, Xin Yang Ji.

According to records, at the end of the 1970s, a batch of "Xin Yang Cellar Wine" was sent to Japan, which fulfilled the Japanese Prime Minister's dream of "Xin Yang Cellar Wine" and enhanced the exchanges between The Chinese and Japanese people.

According to Mr. Sato, a member of parliament who accompanied Kakuei Tanaka on his visit to China at that time, he had a fondness for "Xin Yang Cellar Wine" in that year.
