With his police academy background and years of advantages in criminal investigation, he quickly got started, and now in the face of wire fraud cases, he can always find clues to break through from the subtleties.

Former criminal investigators have become the vanguard of anti-fraud today. In this year's concentrated offensive operations, he tirelessly led the team to Liaoning, Hainan, Guangxi and other places to carry out arrest tasks. Whenever night falls, he always has to sort out a clue before he is willing to leave, in countless days and nights, he led his comrades-in-arms intelligence research and judgment to query and compare more than 2,000 pieces of capital flow information, research and track nearly 200 network account information, push more than 20 clues, such a spirit of responsibility has gradually become an indispensable positive energy affecting the young police of the whole institute. This year, the anti-fraud special class of the Liujiacang police station successfully detected 45 cases of various types of telecommunications network fraud, arrested 28 criminal suspects, destroyed a den for fraudsters to "launder money", seized more than 40 mobile phones involved in the case, more than 100 bank cards, and broke more than 200 telecommunications network fraud cases across the country.

In addition to the tedious investigation work, he also took the initiative to participate in the early warning interception with his colleagues. Since the beginning of this year, the telecommunications platform of Liujia place has stopped payment and frozen more than 100 fraudulent accounts; through door-to-door visits and telephone early warnings, it has successfully intercepted 2,000 fraudulent calls, reducing the loss of more than 2 million yuan for the people in the jurisdiction. It has effectively safeguarded the property security of the people in the jurisdiction and contributed its strength to the stability of social order.

Since the police, Yang Lei has been rooted in the grass-roots police station for 11 years. He is responsible for the Liujiacang Police District, which administers 8 villages (communities), with a permanent population of more than 30,000 people, more than 40 factories and mining enterprises, frequent fraud cases, weak anti-fraud awareness among the masses, and arduous anti-fraud propaganda tasks. In order to do a detailed job in preventing telecommunications fraud, he took the initiative to plan, study and formulate publicity work methods suitable for the jurisdiction, and successfully build a protective wall of telecommunications fraud for the residents of the jurisdiction with the work idea of "prevention first, prevention first".

In order to create a strong atmosphere of anti-fraud propaganda, Yang Lei actively led the people's auxiliary police to carry out household visits, conducted accurate anti-fraud propaganda and "National Anti-Fraud Center" APP installation training for the people in the jurisdiction, gave full play to the advantages of new media such as vibrato, WeChat, and Weibo, efficiently carried out warning publicity with cases around them and things around them, and forwarded anti-fraud related article links to various villagers' network contact groups in various communities and villages in the town, so that anti-fraud propaganda was everywhere and into the mind. At the same time, relying on the mechanisms of police-enterprise joint defense, police academy home, one village and one auxiliary police, etc., using the publicity time of entering enterprises, schools and villages, carry out anti-fraud publicity and promotion and installation for relevant staff, face-to-face guide the masses to install, and mobilize the masses to actively promote the installation of relatives and friends around them and participate in anti-fraud.

In view of the characteristics of the rural middle-aged and elderly groups who are susceptible to deception and are not proficient in mobile phones, he chose the traditional propaganda method, posted easy-to-understand and eye-catching propaganda posters in places with a large number of people, and also made full use of the village radio in the jurisdiction to continuously play anti-fraud audio during his working hours. Since 2021, a total of more than 70 electronic scrolling screens have been publicized to prevent telecommunications fraud knowledge, more than 600 leaflets and posters have been distributed and posted, more than 50 banners have been produced, and more than 20 special lectures have been held, which has set off a climax of anti-fraud knowledge publicity in the town, and also made the incidence of telecommunications fraud in the jurisdiction drop by 10% year-on-year.
