The Narcotics Control Board said in a statement that it launched a Bollywood drug investigation after Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai residence in June. The investigation is currently ongoing.
In June, Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide among Bangladeshi buyers. According to him, most of the drugs in Bollywood are bought from suppliers in Dubai. If the industry insiders investigating are credible, the drugs appear to have swept through Bollywood like an epidemic.
In addition, 3 months after Rajput's death, some Indian media broke out that his actress girlfriend Rhea Chakrabotti was suspected of being a core member of the drug cartel and instigated Sushant to end his life. After the investigation, the police found that Shaklabotti had helped Sushant buy drugs and mixed the drugs in coffee for her boyfriend to drink, and what was even more shocking was that Shaklabotti was likely to be a core member of the drug cartel. Police are currently detaining Shaklabotti on charges of drug purchase and use, and she faces 10 years in prison if the investigation is correct.
