The reporter learned from the Special Olympics Organizing Committee that this year's Special Olympics will surpass 36 world records and set 179 national records in shooting, archery, swimming and other events.
A total of 47 events were set up in this Year's Special Olympics, including 38 Paralympic Games and 9 Special Olympics, with a total of 4,484 athletes from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, as well as 35 delegations from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Macao Special Administrative Region. The athletic events of this paralympic games produced gold medals in 1074 minor events.
As the host, the Shaanxi sports delegation is composed of the Shaanxi First Regiment and the Shaanxi Second Regiment, with a total of 505 athletes participating in 35 major events, 39 sub-events and 359 minor events, with the highest number of participating projects and numbers in the past, achieving full coverage of public and Special Olympics events. In the end, Shaanxi disabled athletes won a total of 145.5 gold medals and 264.5 medals, and the total number of gold medals and medals ranked among the top in the country.
