(Series 1) The Power of Repetition – Habit
When you want to do something but are not motivated to do something, you should make it a habit.
The process of forming habits is very difficult, and it requires you to satisfy in three ways. First, make sure you use your energy effectively in your current tasks. Second, reduce the dependence of behavior on subjective will and willpower. Third, translate your values and goals into effective actions through habits.
[Don't look] These three aspects are said to be simple and understandable, that is, you have to pay a lot of attention in the early stage of this thing that you want to develop a habit, and you must have consciousness in your brain and the energy to do it and insist on it.
In the later stages, you will reduce your dependence on subjective will and willpower on this matter, will unconsciously do it, reduce the cost of thinking and energy consumption, and set aside more energy and regenerative time (to achieve the ultimate goal of forming habits: feeling that there is little resistance to doing something, reducing the consumption of your own energy).
Repeating effective actions will form the habit of presenting your values and goals in reality.
[Breeze] Then how to form a habit, we have to mention the 18 cycle gift method.
There are 365 days in a year, and every 21 days is a cycle of habit formation, and there are 18 opportunities to develop habits in a year. People need the environment and external incentives, you can set up 18 gifts for yourself, after achieving your goals in each cycle, buy yourself a favorite gift to reward yourself!
[See] So what conditions do I have to meet to reward myself? Does it have to be done every day? Many people will have such questions.
Sister Meng told us: As long as you have completed 80% of the days in these 21 days, you can buy yourself the original gift on the last day. After all, people are not machines, there will always be accidents or when they want to be lazy, they cannot be absolutely accurate, so we must have a moment of relaxation in a harsh environment. So if you're in a hiatus, don't feel guilty and don't stop at it, it doesn't matter, the most important thing is to keep doing it.
I hope that we can be a modern teenager with vitality, purpose and salted fish in the moment of youth. In a gentle and relaxed rhythm, shaking towards the goal, trying to get closer to the excellent, hahahahahaha.
