This exhibition selects 40 Dunhuang stone pastel paintings, 7 color sculpture works and 12 Dunhuang element high-temperature glazed porcelain plate paintings, comprehensively presenting the Dunhuang stone pastel painting technique. Through the form of "dialogue", the intimate relationship between the three ancient cities of Longquan, Dunhuang and Jingdezhen is not only a tribute to the traditional cave art of Dunhuang, but also provides new thinking for the two regional cultural innovations of Longquan and Jingdezhen with ceramics as the background.
For visitors to Dunhuang, the regret of not being able to see the whole picture because the original caves are limited by space and light will be compensated with the help of modern digital technology. In this exhibition, visitors can enjoy it up close in the bright exhibition hall and feel the charm of China's excellent traditional culture from a cultural and artistic point of view.
According to local conditions and local materials, the Dunhuang stone pastel painting technique is full of regionality and representativeness, plus Dunhuang's special folk painting techniques, making the Dunhuang murals strong and durable, lasting for thousands of years, with unique beauty and charm.
