Kyrie Adam oil painting
In the context of today's rapid economic and social development and the rapid development of science and technology, the globalization context has become one of the main trends in the development of modern and contemporary contexts. Under this background, the creation and development of oil paintings with national themes have ushered in unprecedented development opportunities, but also brought severe challenges.
In the context of globalization, it has promoted the birth and development of new cultures, and under the wave of consumerism, artistic creation has gradually developed in the direction of commodification and symbolization, and highly developed communication media have also changed people's concepts of traditional art, reducing the value and significance of traditional art in social development, including the reduction of humanistic care in national theme oil paintings.
In the East of the world, each ethnic group has its own long history and culture, and the introduction of Western oil painting has more or less broken the traditional understanding of artists for artistic creation. In the history of oil painting creation in the eastern world, national oil painting creation can best reflect the creative characteristics of oriental oil painting, and can also best represent the national imprint and national symbol of oil painting creation in the East, aesthetic unique regional culture, mysterious religious culture, traditional national culture and the pursuit of humanistic spirit.
Born in southern Kurdistan in 1981, Kyrie Adam from Iraq graduated from the Duhawk Academy of Fine Arts in 2001, later studied at the Sarahaddin Academy of Fine Arts in Erbil, and spent seven years as an art teacher at various schools such as the Duhawk Academy of Fine Arts in Kurdistan.
In 2012, Kyrie Adam came to the United States to study at the University of the Arts of San Francisco in California, where she received her M.S. in Contemporary Realism as a Figurative Artist in 2015. During this period, the open environment and in-depth study of the West allowed Carey to broaden his horizons and stimulate his own national feelings, which led him to start to use national themes as the theme of oil painting, especially the female group that has been ignored by society in Kurdish culture.
Portraiture is what Carey is best at, especially the image of Kurdish women. The images he depicts are dressed in traditional Kurdish women's clothing, connecting the colors and symbols of clothing of different shapes, styles, designs and social significance with aesthetic and elegant female figures, and using this symbolic costume and the image of the gods to express the inner emotions and souls of Kurdish women.
【Conclusion】
Based on the actual characteristics and cultural heritage of the Kurdish nation, Kyrie Adam realizes the dual expression of national characteristics and modern elements in view of social real problems and integration into the characteristics of the times.
