Only passionate people can become fighters. I'm so passionate. It's almost impossible to contain. I shed tears, sweated, and bled, all of which were the release of passion.
In the imagination of many people, I am cold inside. Insensitivity, but the truth is that only those who are open-minded and do not care about details can fight. It is easy for me to reveal my true feelings, and I have also been hurt by people. If I fracture my toe and stitch my foot, I can still bring my injury into battle. If I get hit by an opponent, I probably won't even blink an eye. But when I hear sad songs on the radio, I cry emotionally. The reason why I fight. It is precisely because I am easily injured.
This has been the case since I was born. The first breath of my life, the first words I learned to speak, were all earned through struggle, and the struggle to win respect and to be known is still ongoing today. For a long time, I felt the need to fight for every little thing. But now, every few months, I'm going through a big battle, and if I win, it's enough to make up for all the small battles that I've lost in peacetime. Some battles. Losing doesn't matter the big picture, such as being overtaken on the road, such as being angry with the boss, and being despised by people every day, it will gradually catch up with the limit of our tolerance. But some battles, if lost, the whole life will change, such as the loss of a loved one, such as going all out for a goal, but eventually returning empty-handed.
I fought for my father, who lost his battle and died when I was eight. I also fought for my mother, who taught me how to win in every moment of my life. I fought hard to make the people who loved me proud of me and make the people who hated me grit their teeth. Those who have been defeated and abandoned, those who are still battling bad luck, I fight for each and every one of them.
Achieving excellence is a long and hard battle, and I fight every day. Fighting is how I succeed. The battle I'm talking about took place not only in the 750-square-foot UFC octagon, but also in the 64-square-meter judo arena day. Life is a battle, it starts with the first breath of life, and finally the moment of breathing. You have to fight people who say, "It's never going to work," and you have to fight against institutions that have a "glass ceiling."
