Perhaps when many people mention the book "Human Disqualification", they will think of Dazai's most famous statement: I am sorry to be born as a human being.
But in fact, the real source of this sentence is his short story "The Flag Bearer of the Twentieth Century". If I had to find a similar sentence from "Human Disqualification", it would probably be the sentence written at the beginning of the three chapters of the handwriting: Looking back, my life is full of shame.
