An Zhenjiang was born in Changping, Beijing in 1928. He was lively by nature, and since childhood he was active and had a keen interest in the performing arts.
In 1948, An Zhenjiang was admitted to the History Department of Beijing Normal University. In his second year of university, he went to the Cultural Center to take charge of the work of the cultural troupe.
An Zhenjiang not only acted on his own, but also often helped the masses to rehearse plays, which gave him more opportunities to engage in the practice of theater art. Later, the school also recommended him to study in the Drama Department of Beijing Amateur Art School, and learned some performance theories more systematically.

In 1955, An Zhenjiang was transferred to Changchun Film Studio, and successively participated in the filming of "Plain Guerrilla", "Tiger's Den Tracking", "Eagle in the Storm", "Underground Sharp Soldier" and other films. Although all of them are villains with different forms, he uses vivid performances without showing performance traces, which makes people feel real and believable.

Not only that, An Zhenjiang met his future wife Kang Li because of "Plain Guerrilla". Kang Li, a Beijing girl, was in charge of the union work at the Changying Film Factory. Two people met at the organization of the Northeast Normal University students and the "Plain Guerrilla" crew friendship meeting. Although An Zhenjiang played the landlord Yang Laozong in the film, he had both the form and the god, and the praise was overwhelming. However, Kang Li pointed out the shortcomings inside: "After all, the landlord Yang Laozong is an elderly person, and the scene where he runs away over the wall is too light and unreasonable."
It was this well-intentioned criticism that made them know each other and become a lifelong couple.
In 1957, An Zhenjiang returned to work in the North Film Actors Troupe. The films he also participated in filming include "Red Child", "Storm", "Red Flag Spectrum", "Miner's Lamp", "Grain", "Colorful Road" and so on. Especially in the color feature film "Red Flag Spectrum" directed by Ling Zifeng and starring Cui Wei, An Zhenjiang played Liu Erjiao, in order to shape this fox fake tiger wei, bullying the dog legs of the people, although there are only a few supporting roles, An Zhenjiang actually wrote more than 50,000 words of character analysis, from walking posture, tone of speech, facial demeanor have done several sets of performance plans.

Ge Cunzhuang, who plays the landlord Feng Lanchi in the film, recalled with emotion: "Since An Zhenjiang got the script, he has been completely immersed in the role, and he treats the role very seriously and diligently, and he is really a rare and good actor."
In 1959, An Zhenjiang participated in his masterpiece film "Grain", playing the role of the fourth monk who is a bully who is afraid of hardness, and his every exaggerated action and every vivid expression are just right.
Wang Yunxia, who plays Xiulan in the film, talks about the days he co-created: "An Zhenjiang wrote the script with dense and beautiful fly-headed xiaokai, not only the inner reading of the lines, but also the design of the action processing. It's really impressive. ”

In the first feature film "Scout" produced by the Beijing Film Studio after the Cultural Revolution, An Zhenjiang played Wang Debiao, the leader of the enemy's search team. When he later talked about the character's experience, he said that the screen image was first reflected through the external shape, then the facial expression, and finally the most critical eye, and the character of Wang Debiao I also considered for a long time, such as the scene with my brother-in-law, how to call, how to stand, how to put the hands, both to show respect and some pretense.
An Zhenjiang is such a meticulous actor to create this extremely glorious negative image.

In 1977, An Zhenjiang wanted to go to Huangshan to participate in the filming of the film "Giant Lan", but this time when he was leaving, he said affectionately to his wife and daughter: I really don't want this family! At this time, An Zhenjiang's body was not too good. He is a time when he is not desperate, and he will never cause trouble for others. Just a few hundred meters away from the hotel, An Zhenjiang wanted to take a rest, and what no one expected was that when he got up and went forward, he fell down forever due to a heart attack, and he was only forty-nine years old.
An Zhenjiang played a lifetime of small roles, but the vivid screen image roles he created are still talked about from time to time to this day.
