Jointly build a 5G industry ecosystem in the capital
Beijing Morning News (reporter Jiao Likun) On December 26, in order to promote the incubation of 5G technology and innovative solutions in Beijing, Beijing Mobile joined hands with a number of 5G industry partners to establish a 5G industry alliance.
Li Wei, deputy general manager of China Mobile Beijing, pointed out that the 5G era is coming, and the Internet of Everything brought by 5G will truly promote the deep integration of vertical industries and open up a new environment for everyone to deeply integrate the industry.
"China Mobile Beijing 5G Industry Alliance" is aimed at nine major fields, including video entertainment, transportation, medical care, smart city, etc., gathering the backbone of the industry, deeply promoting cooperation and exchanges between relevant entities in the 5G industry in Beijing, continuously promoting supply and demand docking, technological innovation, and knowledge sharing, and realizing the smooth landing of 5G industry application solutions.
At present, the global 5G commercialization has entered a tough period. In 2019, the three major operators will enter trial commercial use. Beijing Mobile has always attached great importance to the construction and development of 5G. It is understood that in September this year, the company and the Fangshan District Government built the first 5G autonomous driving open road demonstration area in China; in December, it took the lead in completing the 5G base station test and verification in the 4.9Hz frequency band in the Beijing CBD area, achieving a single-user download rate of up to 2.8Gbps, marking that China Mobile Beijing Company's 5G network construction and application demonstration has reached a new level.
Liu Yu, General Manager of Beijing Mobile Planning Technology Department, introduced the overall plan for the development of Beijing Mobile's 5G network. The first stage is 2018, the technical reserve period, mainly focusing on technical test verification, resource census and equipment industrialization research to promote the trial commercial use of the existing network. 2019 to 2020 is the network construction period, this stage beijing mobile will focus on the full roll out of 5G construction, especially the 5G network coverage in Beijing, while improving the operation of high-quality 5G network capabilities. The third stage, the business application period, is concentrated in 2020 to 2022. At this stage, Beijing Mobile will work with industry alliance partners to comprehensively expand 5G service applications and build a 5G industry ecosystem in the capital.
China Mobile Beijing will continue to increase 5G investment, do a good job in the construction of 5G network infrastructure, and achieve comprehensive 5G network coverage in Beijing's urban areas, key districts and counties, and key scenarios, so as to provide the most reliable and solid guarantee for the rapid incubation and take-off of the 5G industry in Beijing.
