Interview with Huang Yixuan: Practicing justice is not bitter

Facing difficulties, 402 criminal cases were sponsored

Huang Yixuan had just turned 30 years old, of medium stature, and had a pair of glowing eyes behind her black-rimmed glasses. Outwardly, she is more like a scholar, and it is difficult to associate her with the intense scenes of the trial and the defense team, and it is difficult to associate her with bloody images such as rushing to the scene in the early hours of the morning to inspect the corpses.

But she did spend seven years in the prosecution. Since joining the Qiancheng District Procuratorate, she has hosted 402 criminal cases involving 539 people, appeared in court more than 1,000 times to support public prosecutions, and repeatedly undertook difficult and complicated cases, becoming a living force in the public prosecution team.

Among them, from November 2014 to November 2015, she was transferred to Zhangpu County, Zhangzhou City, to participate in the "8.28" anti-mafia project, participated in the review and prosecution of 15 defendants for organizing, leading, participating in organized crime of a triad nature, etc., the review lasted 10 months, involving 12 charges, 34 criminal facts, 228 victims, 482 witnesses, the time span from 1994 to 2012, involving political, economic and other fields, and had a major impact on the local areas. During this period, a total of 99 cases of examination files were reviewed, and a total of 17 trials were held in the first instance of the whole case, which took 26 days.

In recent years, she has repeatedly won provincial and municipal honors. Even so, she modestly said that she was still young and still needed to learn from her predecessors and practice for a few more years.

Practice justice Run thousands of kilometers without saying a word

Huang Yixuan graduated from Jimei University in 2011 and received a master's degree from China University of Political Science and Law this year. After being admitted to the Qiancheng District People's Procuratorate, she was assigned to the public prosecution department with the most trained people, and has since become associated with public prosecution.

Looking back, I remember it vividly. The winter of 2011 was particularly cold. At 4 a.m., she received a call from work and needed to rush to the scene of the crime to intervene in the investigation in advance. "I was alone on a deserted highway, and the only sound I could hear was my footsteps."

At that moment, she deeply realized that public prosecution work needs to dare to be tough and fearless. At that moment, she chose not to retreat, but to face the difficulties.

When encountering difficult cases, Huang Yixuan bravely shouldered heavy burdens and never cried bitterly and tiredly. Once, Huang Yixuan took over a large underworld case, in order to identify a piece of evidence, she raced against time, and on the same day drove to Huizhou Prison in Guangdong Province for interrogation, running thousands of kilometers in one day.

In Huang Yixuan's view, although this job is hard, they have made a difference in the face of justice. "We are practicing justice all the time, and we prosecutors want to be honest and we are very happy." Justice is really not very distant, it penetrates into the work bit by bit, you can feel the power to have justice. ”

Delve into exploration and write a number of award-winning papers

"Meritorious service, extensive and diligent work". Huang Yixuan practiced her life creed with practical actions. From an ordinary public prosecution front-line case-handling cadre to an excellent prosecutor, the efforts in this process have a special taste in my heart in retrospect.

There was a time when I worked overtime almost every day until 10 p.m., and I had to work overtime on weekends. "Several times, I left work at 1 or 2 a.m., and even the uncle of the prosecutor's office was asleep." Huang Yixuan said lightly, "It is not me alone, but all prosecutors are the same, (overtime) is the norm of work." ”

The fast-paced work did not stop Huang Yixuan. In her spare time, she is able to continuously delve into criminal justice theory, explore the ideas of criminal legislation in depth in combination with practical cases, and write many award-winning papers. In August 2014, he wrote "Reform of the Case-Handling Responsibility System for Chief Procurators of the Council of Deliberations: Taking the Current Judicial Reform as the Background", which was selected by the China Society for the Study of Criminal Procedure Law and compiled into the proceedings of the 2014 Annual Conference. In October 2017, he wrote the article "Analysis of the Legal Application of Platform Liability in Cybercrime", which was awarded the second prize of the Paper of the Annual Conference of Criminal Law of the Fujian Law Society.

"Every time there is a hearing, especially when a sentence is spoken, 'I have been appointed by the Qiancheng District Procuratorate to represent this court as a national prosecutor and attend the court to support the prosecution.'" Every time I say this, I'm very proud. Because in the fight against crime, I have done my best. Huang Yixuan said.
