School Introduction Sichuan Provincial Fashion Art School (Sichuan Silk School) is a provincial public state-level key secondary school, located in China's historical and cultural city - Nanchong. The school has a long history, strong teachers, first-class equipment, excellent school spirit, and enjoys the reputation of "a century-old famous school and cradle of talents".
Founded in 1913 by Mr. Zhang Lan, the former vice president of the people's republic of China and a democratic revolutionary, the school is one of the earliest schools engaged in vocational and technical education in Sichuan Province. In 1986, the school was renamed Sichuan Silk School, and in 1999, according to the actual layout of Sichuan Provincial Vocational Education Planning and the professional setting of the school, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education agreed that the school should retain the name of Sichuan Silk School while adding the name of Sichuan Provincial Fashion Art School and implementing one school and two names. For more than a hundred years, a large number of social elites and elites of the times have taught and presided over the school. Mr. Zhang Lan, a democratic revolutionary, and Mr. Yin Liangying, an expert in silk education, have successively served as the presidents of our school; Zhang Xiushu, former vice governor of Sichuan Province, Wu Yuzhang, proletarian revolutionaries, Lu Xingheng, Xiong Jiguang, Wu Zaide, and other famous professors and experts have successively taught in our school.
The school covers an area of more than 200 acres, with a construction area of more than 80,000 square meters. The school is beautiful and the facilities are excellent. There are 46 training rooms in total, such as clothing training center, art design center, mechanical and electrical numerical control training center, automobile repair training center, electronic education center, etc. The library has a collection of more than 150,000 books, and the total value of experimental and practical equipment is more than 40 million yuan.
The school has 144 teaching staff, including 116 full-time teachers. Among the teachers, there are 45 senior lecturer titles, 34 lecturer titles, and 10 master's degree holders. There are 24 members of the national, provincial and municipal expert database employed. In the past five years, more than 30 people have won the honorary titles of national outstanding educators, provincial labor models, middle-aged and young top-notch talents with outstanding contributions, advanced individuals in full textile vocational education, provincial teacher moral pacesetters, and municipal advanced teachers.
