Cangjie, also known as Cangjie, originally surnamed Hou Gang, mingjie, and Shi Huangshi, is the historical official of the Yellow Emperor and the creator of Chinese characters in ancient Chinese legends, and is revered by posterity as the ancestor of Chinese characters.

Luonan, a mountainous county hidden deep in the southeast of the Mang mang Qinling Mountains, has both the lingxiu of the southern Shaanxi Mountains and the atmosphere and Gengzhi adjacent to the Guanzhong Plain. It is named after the Luo River, a first-class tributary of the Yellow River. In ancient times, it was also called Huayang, which was also called the yang of Huashan Mountain. According to historical records, China's Chinese characters were first created by the historian Cangjie in Luonan during the Yellow Emperor's time, and the address of the characters was in the black pond at the bottom of the eyebrows west of the county town of Luonan County, and the twenty-eight characters created were carved in the Yuan Hu Shanyin, ending the history of knotted ropes, after more than 5,000 years, evolved into the Chinese characters commonly used by the descendants of Yanhuang today.
According to historical records such as the "Six Books of Cehai" and "Shaanxi JinshiZhi", Cangjie accompanied the Xuanyuan Yellow Emperor on a southern tour of the black pond forty-five miles northwest of Luonan, climbed the mountain of the void of the Yang, approached the water of Xuanhu Luo, met the negative book of the spirit turtle, Danjia Qingwen, the change of heaven and earth, looked up at the trend of the Kuixing round universe, looked down at the traces of turtle-patterned birds and insects, and created twenty-eight characters with his fingers, which were engraved in the Yin of Xuanhu Mountain, and from then on the stone broke the heavens, the words led mankind, terminated the knot rope, the rain of the valley of heaven, and the ghost weeping dragon hidden. The twenty-eight characters of its interpretation read: "Peng Hejia B, the first common friend, the world, the style of the bright, the left mutual conformity, the red water respect, the Gogan axe." "Every time the Emperor Hua crossed the border, Bi Tuo copied it, engraved it and went away, while the officials and historians were responsible, the labor was in turmoil, the people were very miserable, and one night thunderstorm was great, and the residents took the opportunity to set fire to it." According to the "Chronicle of Luonan County", "In the first year of the Qing Dynasty (1821), Wang Senwen of Luonanzhi County obtained this twenty-eight character grotesque from the people of XuMiao (Cangjie Book-making Office) and erected it at the Cangjie-made character office (the stone stele is now in the Luonan County Museum), and in the eleventh year of Tongzhi (1872), the fourth and fifth years of Guangxu (1878, 1879), Yi Yunzhen and Nomin of Luonanzhi County built the Cangsheng Ancestral Hall (the ancestral hall is still alive) on the east street of the county town, and the sacrifice ceremony was quite solemn, and this activity continued until before liberation.
After the reform and opening up, Luonan County rebuilt Cangjie Garden on the Mantou Mountain in the south of the county, embellished countless cultural stones in the red flowers and green grass, and carved Cangjie characters on the seal, becoming a big landscape!
At present, its 28 animal hooves and birds trace stone cliff imitation rubbings have become rare treasures, and the "Legend of Cangjie Character Creation" and the "Cangjie Ceremony of Guyu Gong Sacrifice" have been included in the intangible cultural heritage list, which is the pride of our Chinese nation.
