Follow me, don't have to pay the "overnight party"!
The 1970s and 1980s were the heyday of Hong Kong action movies. There are quite a few martial arts teams emerging here, and there are countless action stars, such as the "Liu Family Class" headed by Liu Jialiang, the "Hong Family Class" headed by Hong Jinbao, and the "Chengjia Class" headed by Jackie Chan. Of course, when it comes to kung fu stars, bruce Lee is naturally the most influential. It was he who ushered in the golden age of Hong Kong action cinema.

Tan Daoliang
In addition to Bruce Lee, the action star we want to talk about today was once half red. He is famous for a move "gecko gong" - Tan Daoliang.

Speaking of Tan Daoliang, today's 90s and 00s know very little about it. But if you like to watch old movies, but there is a difference, especially the old movie fans who are nearly forty years old or have exceeded this age group, it is impossible not to know this "leg king" who was once famous in the film industry.
In 1947, Tan Daoliang was born in South Korea as a Korean overseas Chinese, and he grew up there as a teenager.
When he was 7 years old, his parents sent him to the martial arts hall to learn taekwondo, which was 10 spring and autumn exercises, because he was usually very hard, and he became a young and promising taekwondo instructor at the age of 17.
At that time, there were more people in South Korea who liked taekwondo, and taekwondo events were held many times a year. In 20 years, in order to verify what level his taekwondo had reached, and to prove himself, Tan Daoliang participated in the taekwondo competition held in South Korea that year, and won the championship after five levels and six generals.
In the next two years, Tan Daoliang continued to work hard and won two taekwondo championships in a row. Having won so many awards in the martial arts world at a young age, Tan Daoliang's kung fu can be seen.
It is reported that Chiang Ching-kuo once visited South Korea, and when he learned that a Chinese person actually had this martial art attainment, he invited Tan Daoliang to come and perform taekwondo. After Chiang Ching-kuo returned to Taiwan, he invited him to development.
Since then, Tan Daoliang has moved from South Korea to Baodao and founded the "Republic of China Taekwondo Committee" in 1970, when he was only 23 years old.
At that time, Taiwan won the "Taekwondo Champion" in the Olympic Games, which is inseparable from Tan Daoliang's careful teaching.

The reason why Tan Daoliang entered the film world was actually just holding the mentality of "playing" at the beginning.
At that time, Hong Kong action movies became popular because of Bruce Lee, but they also brought "troubles" because of him. Because the market demand is extremely large, the actors and works have reached the point where supply has exceeded demand.

At that time, the film company was preparing to make an action movie called "Teochew Fury Man", and due to the scarcity of talent, it was difficult to find a suitable male lead. After some deep thinking, director Wang Xinglei locked his eyes on Tan Daoliang, who was the coach of Taiwan's national army.
Doing stable work, taking a generous salary, and also serving the Taiwan army, Tan Daoliang, who bears great glory, naturally does not want to be a "drama", but after Wang Xinglei's sincere touch, he participated in the shooting with the mentality of trying it out.
As a newcomer with no acting experience, Tan Daoliang came to the crew and encountered the first "ridicule" in his life, and what gave him a cold eye was Zhen Zhen, who was originally scheduled to be the heroine, when she was already a household name, she was already a household name, and when she heard that she wanted to shoot a scene with a newcomer, she immediately expressed her extreme displeasure to the crew.

Reluctantly, the director had to replace the arrogant Zhen Zhen, and let Lin Fengjiao and Tan Daoliang, who are also newcomers, play the starring role.
What Zhen Zhen regrets is that once "Chaozhou Nuhan" was released, it achieved a staggering box office result of up to 2.97 million Hong Kong dollars, which was close to the more than 3 million of "Tangshan Big Brother" starring Bruce Lee.
Since then, Tan Daoliang and the showbiz circle have formed an indissoluble relationship, almost overnight.
After becoming popular, Tan Daoliang received a soft film, and films such as "The King of The North and South Legs" and "Shaolin Gate" starring here are still excellent action movies.

Jackie Chan and Hong Jinbao are both familiar international kung fu superstars, but once they were all "green leaves" that reflected Tan Daoliang.
At that time, Jackie Chan was still just a "Dragon and Tiger Martial Artist", to put it bluntly, he was a stand-in for hard work. In the movie "Shaolin Gate", he served as Tan Daoliang's martial arts stand-in.

In the 1970s, Tan Daoliang was undoubtedly an action star shining in Asia. Because there are too many films, he can only wander around the major theaters, and many years later, according to himself, the busiest year, almost 8 or so plays have to be filmed every day, and the most exaggerated time is 27 days without sleeping well.
The kung fu in action movies is very different from what is used in actual combat. In film and television dramas, each action star has its own signature, gorgeous and beautiful. There are such as Bruce Lee's two-knuckle stick, Lu Huiguang's one-word horse, Li Qiangquan's "three consecutive kicks in the air" and so on.
Tan Daoliang is most recognized that he can even use his left leg to continuously attack his opponents without moving his right foot, which is extremely balanced and coordinated, and is very ornamental and human beauty. When he came out of the leg, not only was he very straight, but he also kicked quite high, and when he kicked the side, his leg was straight and straight, forming an upright horse, and the action was simply perfect to explode!
In 1975, Tan Daoliang participated in the filming of Jiahe's "Tantric Sacred Hand". In this movie, there is the famous kung fu actress Mao Ying to join, in addition, there are Hong Jinbao, Jackie Chan, Yuan Biao, Yuan Kui, Yuan Hua and other people in the lineup, but at that time they were just an unknown "dragon set", which became a foil for the green leaves of the red flowers.
At that time, watching this movie, I was immediately fascinated by the wonderful fights in this, and interested friends can relive it, which will inevitably evoke the memories of the past.
The following year, directed by the well-known director Wang Nan, "Southern Fist and North Leg Living Yama King", I believe that friends who have seen it will think that it is Tan Daoliang's masterpiece. Wang Dao, who co-starred with him in this, is the image spokesperson of Nan Quan, Wang Dao is good at boxing, and Tan Daoliang is good at leg techniques, and the cooperation is almost seamless, which is wonderful.
It is reported that when Xingye self-directed and self-acted in "Kung Fu", the role of the "Fire Cloud Evil God" set at the beginning was originally set to find Tan Daoliang to act, but he did not expect to be rejected by him, it is said that he was because he felt that it was detrimental to the image of "traditional kung fu" after reading the script, and had to find Zhou Xingchi to find a kung fu superstar Liang Xiaolong to star.
But seriously, although Mr. Liang Xiaolong has made the "Fire Cloud Evil God" a classic, Tan Daoliang's arrogance of rejecting Xingye outside the door in order to preserve the image of guoshu is still very admirable.
In 1982, Tan Daoliang ended his acting career after shooting his last film, "The Last Breath", and since then he has moved to the United States to open a personal taekwondo gym and live the life he wants.
In the acting career of Tan Daoliang's predecessors, more than 40 action movies have been made before and after, although not every one of them is a masterpiece, but at the moment when traffic is king, "special effects" almost replace the real kung fu that was once fisted to flesh, and if you want to see the action movies that are perfect in every move, you may only have to look at the old movies.
