Four directors, four stories, four eras, four perspectives, the feature film "My Father and Me" co-directed by Wu Jing, Zhang Ziyi, Xu Zheng and Shen Teng tells the story of the fathers' hard work for big countries and small families in different historical coordinates.
"Ride the Wind": The blood is strong and soft
Wu Jing's "Riding the Wind" is based on the cavalry regiment in Hebei during the War of Resistance Against Japan, and Ma Renxing, played by Wu Jing, is both the leader of the cavalry regiment and an ordinary father. His son Ma Chengfeng was also in the cavalry regiment and was an ordinary but clever communications scout.

"Riding the Wind" retains Wu Jing's consistent directing style, both the tense scene of personal heroism fighting The Japanese fighters on horseback, and the excitement of the final cavalry regiment attacking the enemy position with great momentum. In particular, the picture of Ma Renxing holding high the military flag when charging is very similar to the famous scene of the "Wolf Warrior" series.
But this story is more touching is the softness of the blood, when Ma Renxing, who has the last bit of luck, finally waits for the lone treasurer, then the fierce slap is not hit on himself? When he could no longer control his emotions and went out into the field alone to cry, he was an ordinary father.

"Poetry": Romantic softness is firm
"Poetry" should be regarded as Zhang Ziyi's first directorial work in the true sense, as the only female director in the four stories, the lens language of "Poetry" is as delicate as carving gunpowder, and the emotional power that finally bursts out is as fierce as gunpowder.
When the shot where Huang Xuan appears begins, it is estimated that most viewers will understand the style of this story. The flying yellow sand not only highlights the harshness of the scientific research environment, but also adds a touch of poetry to the difficult life. The daily life of a family, even coarse tea and light rice, is warm.
This kind of poetry is everywhere in "Poetry": Huang Xuan's father explained to his son that his job was to "write poetry in heaven", and lightly passed the huge risks he faced; Zhang Ziyi's mother, from the earliest young woman who would also "eat meat for a long time", after encountering the huge blow of widowhood, shouldered the burden of raising two children at the same time with her weak shoulders, and continued to dedicate all the burdens to the aerospace industry, and used her youth to write a gorgeous chapter for China's aerospace industry. He also wrote the beginning of the poem of his children's life.

The Duck Prophet: The Big Times in Little Witty
The first two stories of crying into a dog are only Xu Zheng's "Duck Prophet", which finally made the audience start laughing. Not only because Xu Zheng's works are always witty and humorous, but also because everyone knows that the good days of reform and opening up are coming!

"Young People's Row": Hardcore truth in soft science fiction
What kind of scene will a man who grows on a laugh point direct a movie? Shen Teng gave the answer with "Youth Line".
"Young People's Row" is more like a comedy with sci-fi overtones: shen teng plays a robot that shuttles from 2050 to 2021 to prove the feasibility of time travel. And the roles that have appeared successively will make the audience feel more like a happy twist of large-scale team building:
Ma Li, Allen, Chang Yuan, Wu Yuhan, Song Yang, Wang Chengsi, Li Haiyin all burst out laughing, these tacit understanding of the "old twist flowers", but too know how to poke the audience's laughter. Just the part where Shen Teng and Ma Li went on a blind date in the fitness area of the community is enough to make people laugh.
Of course, although with science fiction overtones, "Boy Row" obviously has loopholes in the script: if it is a small robot father in 2021 who is influenced by the robot father "Xing Yihao", he has grown up to become a scientific researcher involved in the robot "Xing Yihao" through time and space, so that the cycle has become a time-space cycle and mutual influence, which is obviously incomprehensible in theory.
But obviously, science fiction is only a shell of "Young People's Line", and Shen Teng hopes to show the beautiful expectations for the development of science and technology in the motherland through the humanistic intention of "robots can also understand feelings".
