Then at the end of the meeting, Paul received a call from Joss Whedon inviting him to perform the hallucination.
Paul recalled, "I was thinking, 'Maybe he's right?' Maybe I'm done. Maybe my career is over. ’”
Just then, his cell phone rang and Whedon gave him a job.
Paul said that after quickly accepting the invitation, he turned and left the building where the meeting had just taken place.
