Ancient Egypt has attracted countless historical and archaeologists with its splendid civilization and mysterious legends. On the west bank of the Nile, more than 700 kilometers south of Cairo, more than 30 pharaohs are buried, known to scholars as the "Valley of the Kings."
In 1922, archaeologists discovered the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun of the Eighteenth Dynasty dating back more than 3,000 years in the "Valley of the Kings". Tutankhamun was the son-in-law of the famous Queen Nefertiti of Amunpot IV (i.e. Ekhnaton). The monarch had a mediocre performance and did not do much. He ascended the throne around 1361 BC, when he was only 10 years old, and married a 12-year-old girl. He died at the age of 19 (some believe he died at the age of 18). These are the whole introductions of his life in historical legends. Tutankhamun's Mausoleum is the most complete and valuable tomb of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs ever found.
Some of the precious artifacts excavated from Tutankhamun's tomb in 1972 and 1976 were exhibited in London and Washington, attracting thousands of European and American audiences and once again sensationalizing the whole world. Tutankhamun is once again a talking point.

After the successful excavation of the ancient and mysterious Tomb of Tutankhamun, people finally saw the basically complete tomb of the pharaoh, and also saw the tomb of the pharaoh for the first time.
The entire tomb consists of an antechamber, burial chamber, ear chamber, and treasury chamber. Except for the tomb, all the places are filled with furniture, utensils, boxes and other utensils, including the treasure house of the tomb owner. Each artifact in the tomb is decorated with gold, silver, beads and jade. Two life-size ebony gilded statues were also found in the burial chamber, which scholars believe to be the image of Tutankhamun. The two statues are vivid and lifelike, fully reflecting the superb technique and rich imagination of ancient artists. During the 8-year excavation, Carter found more than 2,000 artifacts in the tomb, and the tomb was very rich in rare treasures.
Tutankhamun's mummified north is sealed in a heavy coffin, and on the outside of the coffin are gold-coated wooden rafters on the 4 layers. The innermost part is a coffin made of gold. When the last layer of linen wrapped around the mummy's face was unwrapped, people suddenly found that there was a fatal wound on Tutankhamun's face near the left earlobe. Who is the murderer? It all became a mystery.
We can generally know from some documentary historical records and newly excavated mural relics:
Since Tutankhamun ascended the throne at a very young age, he only held power with his old minister Ayi. He died suddenly at the age of 19. After his death, his young empress asked the Hittites to send a prince to marry her. However, the Hittite prince was killed on his way to Egypt. Next, the old minister Ayi succeeded to the throne.
However, we can't uncover the mystery of Tutankhamun's sudden death from these scattered materials and legends. Maybe it is still buried under the magical land of the Nile, and we can only expect more unearthed materials to unravel this mystery, and perhaps there will be more untold mysteries.
