The plot of "Daiyu Funeral Flowers" appears twice in the novel, and if you read the text carefully, you will find that it is about Daiyu funeral flowers, in fact, both times it is Dai Yu Baoyu burying flowers together. And Bao Yu also has the experience of burying flowers for the third time in the novel.

What about Baoyu? He has always liked to be lively and like everyone to get together, but he has no hesitation in participating in the activities of Daiyu's funeral flowers. This is a manifestation of his deep affection for Daiyu, no matter what the situation, he will not abandon Daiyu. Baoyu collected all kinds of fallen flowers, used his clothes to pocket, and sent them to Daiyu's flower tomb for burial. It can be seen that Baoyu loves flowers and cherishes flowers, not for Sister Lin to see, but consciously and voluntarily. A tacit understanding has been formed between the two jades, and the falling flowers will be buried in the flower mound.
When Baoyu listened to Daiyu recite the funeral flower at the bend of the hillside, his reaction further showed that he understood Daiyu, her sadness, and her loneliness. Again, Baoyu also deepened his understanding from Daiyu, understanding that time is fleeting, all beautiful things have moments to disappear, and he can't save it and can't stop it. This feeling has always been precipitated in Baoyu's heart, unwilling to be opened and unwilling to look directly, he hopes that the flowers will always bloom, hope that the sisters will always accompany him, and hope that all beautiful things will last forever.
