On October 27th, the 18th "China Optics Valley" International Optoelectronics Expo and Forum (hereinafter referred to as "Optical Expo") opened in Wuhan. With the theme of "All Things Connected by Light, Wisdom Leads to the Future", this year's Optical Expo focused on the development of F5G all-optical communication industry for the first time in China, attracting more than 300 enterprises at home and abroad to participate in the exhibition and more than 80 large-scale professional buyer groups to attend the meeting.
Co-sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State Intellectual Property Office, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Hubei Provincial Government, the Expo has set up three theme exhibition areas of optical communication and F5G communication, laser and intelligent manufacturing, optics and precision optics, with an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters, focusing on displaying new products, new technologies and innovative achievements of leading optoelectronics enterprises at home and abroad, and presenting the whole industry chain in the core field of optoelectronics.
Among them, the optical communication sector focused on F5G for the first time, and Huawei set up more than 300 square meters of special installation display for the first time at the "Optical Expo", launching 22 special installation exhibition areas and 15 customized F5G all-optical industry application solutions. Oracle, Hengtong Optoelectronics, Nokia and other world-renowned enterprises participated in the exhibition for the first time. China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, China Radio and Television, China Tower and other five major operators organized a delegation to participate in the exhibition, displaying a new generation of optical communication technology and presenting a complete F5G application industry chain. In the laser and intelligent manufacturing sector, Wuhan Optoelectronic National Research Center, Optics Valley Laboratory, Optics Valley Institute of Industry and Research and other leading enterprises and key scientific research institutes focused on display.
At the scene of the "Optical Expo", The East Lake High-tech Zone signed a contract with 27 major projects such as Wuhan R&D and Manufacturing Base of Benten Laser Intelligent Equipment, R&D and Production Base of Optical Ju Filter, R&D and Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park of Precision Electronics High-end Testing Equipment, Minxin Semiconductor High-end Optoelectronic Chip Industrial Park, Wuhan R&D Center of Chaotu Technology, Second Headquarters of Computational Aesthetic Artificial Intelligence, and Wuhan Quantum Technology Research Institute, with a total of 30.6 billion yuan, setting a new high for the signing volume of previous optical fairs.
According to the organizers, the signed projects will be launched from three aspects, such as the industrial chain, the innovation chain, and the talent chain, covering lasers, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, quantum information and other subdivisions, which will inject new impetus into the development of the optical electronic information industry and scientific and technological innovation in Optics Valley.
During this year's "Optical Expo", well-known academicians and experts at home and abroad will exchange and discuss around industrial digital transformation, development of optical communication industry, optical fiber sensing technology outlook, F5G gigabit optical network and new infrastructure and optical basic technology research.
As one of the highest standard and most influential optoelectronic information professional exhibitions in China, "Optical Expo" has been held for 17 sessions since 2002, attracting more than 5,400 well-known enterprises from more than 30 countries and regions around the world to participate in the exhibition.
