Adult Swim released the official trailer and visual artwork for the animated series Blade Runner: Black Lotus. Directed by Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell) and Nobushi Aramaki (Ghost in the Shell SAC2045) and with Shinichiro Watanabe (Star Cowboy) as creative director, the series will be released this fall in 13 episodes.
The video address
Blade Runner: Black Lotus is set in 2032, between the movie Blade Runner (2019), the short film Blade Runner: Dark Havoc (2022), and the movie Blade Runner 2049 (2049). The protagonist is a bionic man named Elle, who has lost her memory and will use a mysterious tattoo as a clue to experience emotions such as anger, joy, and love for the first time. Rather than the social context of gradual collapse, the film will focus more on "individual-level struggles."
