Guo Dezhi, secretary of the county party committee, Wu Dingshun county governor of the county government, Lin Dezhi, member of the standing committee of the county party committee and director of the United Front Work Department, Wang Zhenhui, deputy county governor of the county government, and Lin Dongpo, chief agronomist of the Zhangzhou Municipal Agriculture and Rural Bureau, attended the meeting. In this competition, a total of 231 tea samples were received, and the number of tea samples participating in the competition reached a record high. Judging (including all competitions) ended on 29 May.
The competition was organized in accordance with the spirit of the "Notice of the Cross-Strait Tea Industry Exchange Association on Soliciting Tea Samples from the 7th Cross-Strait (Zhangzhou) Tea Ceremony Tea King Competition" (HaiCha Club Letter (2021) No. 17) and the "Notice of the People's Government of Pinghe County on Printing and Distributing Several Measures to Promote the High-quality Development of Pinghe White Bud Chelan Tea" (Ping Zhengwen [2019] No. 91) and other documents.
The purpose of this activity is to accelerate the brand construction of "Pinghe White Bud Chelan" and the protection of national geographical indication agricultural products, further improve the quality and output value of white bud Chelan tea in our county, and promote the high-quality development of the tea industry.
For sample teas that meet the qualifications for the competition, provincial and county expert groups are invited to adopt the method of password review for review.
Invited expert group members: Gao Feng (Executive Deputy Director of the Tea Industry Office of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Fujian Province, Chief Expert and Extension Researcher of the Modern Tea Industry Technology System of Fujian Province), Guo Yaling (Professor of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, Deputy Director of the Sensory Inspection and Analysis Professional Committee of the China Tea Society, Vice Chairman of the Fujian Tea Society), Zhang Fangzhou (Member of the Fujian Provincial Famous Tea Appraisal Expert Group, Former Deputy Director of the Fujian Tea Research Institute, Professor-level Senior Agronomist), Chen Luan (Former Director of the Tea Quality Inspection Station of Fujian Province, Senior Engineer, National first-level senior tea appraiser), as well as 2 county-level experts selected from the county-level expert pool to form a review expert group. The appraisal process is notarized by a notary public, and 2 tea farmer representatives are invited to observe and supervise the whole process.
The leaders of Pinghe County and the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau attach importance to the work of this competition and give care and guidance to the scene, and the members of the expert group are meticulous and strictly operate the scoring records according to the evaluation standards.
