The first Beijing West to Longyan D739 EMU successfully arrived at Longyan Station

At 10:53 on October 11, the first Beijing West to Longyan D739 EMU successfully arrived at Longyan Station. Subsequently, at 13:18, the Longyan-Beijing West D740 EMU officially started.

According to the Longyan Railway Development Center, the D740/739 train is the first "Hulk" EMU that originates and ends in Beijing in Longyan City, the train adopts the mode of sunset and morning arrival, the whole running time is only 16 hours and 44 minutes, compared with the existing general speed train, the running time is shortened by 9 hours, which greatly facilitates the travel of passengers, narrows the time and space distance between the old district of western Fujian and the capital Beijing, and opens a new page of Longyan's economic and social development.

This is another happy event in the old district of western Fujian since the opening of the Pumei Railway on September 30. In the early spring of 1930, Mao Zedong led the Red Fourth Army to march from Gutian to northwestern Fujian, and wrote in the words "Ru Meng Ling New Year's Day": Ninghua, Qingliu, naturalization, the road pass forest is deep and slippery. In order to change the backward situation of inconvenient transportation in the old areas, Fujian Province and longyan and Sanming cities have put the Pumei railway on the agenda. In January 2016, under the personal instructions and care of General Secretary Xi Jinping, the section of the Pumei Railway from Jianning to Guanzhishan was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission for feasibility study, and construction began in November of that year. After 5 years of construction, this 162-kilometer national Class I railway with a total investment of 11.1 billion yuan was finally completed, and the "giant dragon" pointed directly under the Wuyi Mountain and drove into the old areas of western Fujian and northwest Fujian, where "the road pass forest is deep and mossy".

"Hulk" refers to the CR200J Fuxing EMU newly developed and put into use in China, which adopts a power-concentrated type, and the whole body is painted mainly in green, with a yellow ribbon. It is understood that the "Hulk" EMU passing through the Pumei Railway departs from Longyan through a total of 12 stations, including Guanzhishan, Qingliu, Ninghua, Beifuzhou, Nanchang West, Macheng, Fuyang Heze, Liaocheng, Hengshui, and Beijing West. Old districts such as Liancheng County, Ninghua County, and Qingliu County have realized the dream of direct train access to Beijing.

Comfortable facilities in the EMU

The D740/739 "Hulk" was a large-scale EMU with a total of 16 carriages and a total of 918 people. Among them, 1 to 6 cars are second class sleeping cars, 7 to 9 cars (including dining bar) are second class cars, and 10 to 16 cars are first class sleeping cars. Mr. Liao worked in Beijing after graduating from university in 1984 and was deeply touched by train travel. He said that more than thirty years ago, going to Beijing to transfer trains from Fuzhou or Nanping to Zhou, tossing and turning for two or three days, in the past ten years, with the rapid development of railway construction in the old district, it has become more and more convenient to go from Beijing's Huilongyan, from the 27-hour "Haixi" to today's comfortable and humanized "Hulk" train, sleeping in one night to Longyan.

According to reports, the "Hulk" EMU that originated to Beijing West Railway Station ended the history of no Beijing EMU in western Fujian, highlighting the achievements of Longyan Railway construction and economic and social development in recent years. Up to now, the operating mileage of Longyan Railway has reached nearly 800 kilometers, and it can be directly connected to Shenzhen, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Shanghai and Beijing by train. The people of western Fujian can take the early "Haixi" general speed train (about 25 hours) by train, or they can take the high-speed railway EMU from Xiamen to Beijing via Longyan (about 10 hours), and they can also take the Longyan "Hulk" EMU from Beijing (about 16 hours). The departure station means more seats and different levels of carriages to choose from, which effectively solves the problem of "one ticket is difficult to find" for the Beijing train reported by some people. So far, Longyan City to Beijing has formed three channels of high-speed rail, Hulk EMU and General Speed Train, covering 6 counties (urban areas), which greatly meets the urgent needs of different regions and different groups for better travel of railways, fulfills the original mission of "people's railway for the people", and provides solid transportation support for building an ecological modern city in southwest Fujian and creating a happy Longyan with temperature.
