According to Patch, the National Weather Service predicts heavy rainfall from Friday to Saturday. The probability of rain after 8 p.m. on Friday is 90%. "New precipitation could be between three-quarters and an inch," the forecast said.
Halloween itself is Sunday, and luckily, weather forecasts say the rain will stop that day. But many Halloween weekend events — especially drunken horror pub events — could be canceled.
On Monday and Tuesday, New York City experienced a northeast storm followed by wet weather. During the storm, the rainfall for the entire city is about 3 inches, with some areas receiving even more rainfall. For example, according to the total rainfall of the National Weather Service, fordham in the Bronx, there are 4.73 inches of rainfall. Rains on Friday and Saturday are not expected to reach this level.
