This year, the paper mill walnuts ushered in a bumper harvest, but the annual "peeling" of walnuts has become the biggest headache for fruit farmers. With the rise of labor costs, manual peeling is becoming less and less suitable for the development of the times. In order to save manpower and quickly peel off the skin, the county forestry and grassland bureau has equipped 9 villages in our town with walnut peeling dryers, achieving full coverage of villages and villages. In the past, the peeling of green walnuts basically relied on artificial, that is, the weather was good to dry and dry for about 3 days, the harvest time was very long, laborious and time-consuming, if it encountered rainy weather, some walnuts could only look at the mold. Now, a green walnut peeling machine can peel at least 2 tons of green walnuts per day, and the peeled walnuts can be harvested after being dried by the dryer, which greatly saves manpower and material resources, changes the traditional walnut processing method, and improves the quality and efficiency of the walnut industry.
As the leading industry in our town, walnuts have been an important economic source for paper mill farmers, at present, the total area of walnut trees planted in our town is about 22,000 mu, about 470,000 trees, the per capita occupancy area is about 1.8 mu and 37 plants, this year's output is about 900 tons, the output value is more than 9 million yuan, and the economic benefits are very impressive.
