The residential building where Mr. Chen's family is located is not far from the gate of the community, and when he and other residents rushed over, the west gate of the community and a section of a 10-20-meter-long wall had been torn down and destroyed, and many residents reported to the police on the spot.
On May 20, reporters from Xin'an Evening News, Anhui Net, and Dawan News came to the community for interviews, and many residents told reporters that the matter may be related to the construction of roads outside the west gate of the community.

Mr. Chen, a resident, told the Xin'an Evening News, Anhui Net, and Dawan News reporters that the residential building where he lived was closer to the west gate of the community, and the west gate of the community has always been normal traffic, and outside the door is a leisure green space, and many residents of the community go for a walk and exercise through the west gate. At more than 10:00 p.m. on May 18, hearing the movement of construction, Mr. Chen thought that the road outside the community was under construction. "Then my son told me that the wall had fallen, and through the bathroom window, I did see the wall near the west gate falling, so I hurried down to check it out and notified other residents." Mr. Chen said.
Mr. Chen told reporters that there are 16 residential buildings in the Xiwuyuan community of Ligao Republic City, and now, although the construction of the site has stopped, the west gate and the wall are destroyed, and anyone can enter and exit at will, and they are also worried that this will bring hidden dangers to the safety of the community.
Mr. Chen said that the Ligao Republican City Xiwuyuan Community was successively delivered in 2015, and since the completion of the community, the West Gate has been open for several years.

Another resident of the community, Ms. Wang, told reporters that in April this year, they found that road construction began outside the west gate of the community, and at the end of April, the construction party personnel entered the west gate of the community and pulled the line. Some residents found the construction party personnel to inquire about the situation, and the other party said that the west gate of the community and the nearby wall and some areas inside the door should be demolished, and they did not show any documents or procedures, which was resisted by the residents of the community. Ms. Wang said that the residents and properties of the community had communicated with the construction party.

The reporter saw that the demolished area was in a protruding semicircle, just blocking the straight construction road.
On May 20, on-site construction was suspended.
"Construction has stopped here, and it is difficult to find the people on the site." A resident told reporters that after the incident on the night of May 18, the residential property also contacted the construction party, who said that the west gate and the wall were not demolished by them.

Director Cui introduced that the road outside the west gate of the Xiwuyuan community is connected with Jinmei Road in the north, which is only more than 900 meters, and the west side of the community belongs to the area that does not advocate development.
With the needs of development, the surrounding communities increased, in 2017, after reconsideration, the Land Planning Bureau of the Shuangfeng Economic Development Zone Management Committee submitted to the Changfeng County People's Government for approval of road construction and other matters, and in 2017 received relevant approvals.
