In the future, in large cities with many new citizens and young people, high housing prices or greater upward pressure, the proportion of new affordable rental housing in the total supply of new housing will reach more than 30%. According to the "Opinions", the source of these affordable housing will be the use of collective operation construction land, idle land owned by enterprises and institutions, supporting land for industrial parks and existing idle houses, appropriate use of new supply of state-owned construction land for construction, and reasonable supporting commercial service facilities. These affordable rental housing are mainly small units with a construction area of no more than 70 square meters, and the rent is lower than the rent of rental housing in the same quality market in the same lot.
