"If you score 10 points, I will score 10 points this season" Interview with Hulan: I am not a highly educated talk show, and there is no one to set up

author:Beijing News

On the "Talk Show Conference" for the third time, Hulan continued to play steadily and continuously output, with the praise of "King Candidate" all the way to the finals. But in the end, it only won the fifth place. On the night of the finals, #呼兰 Yi Nanping # appeared on Weibo's hot search, but he did not send a long farewell, nor did he comfort the netizens who shouted "Uncrowned King", but returned to the most normal and low-key creative life of talk show actors.

"Out of 10, I'll score 10 this season." I think this is the best level I can do now, so I have no regrets. Hu Lan admitted in an exclusive interview with a reporter from the Beijing News after the game.

Dating back to "Talk Show Conference 2", Hu Lan, who was still a newcomer at the time, told his experience of playing table tennis as a child in the paragraph, satirizing those who wanted to win and pretended not to care, and generously told all the audience that there was an ambitious fighter on this stage. But three years later, hulan is now more concerned about fighting with itself. From "spitting on the inner volume", "interpreting the trap of consumerism" to "talking about netizen judgments", Hulan successfully completed most of the emotional expression of this year on this stage, and also realized the extension of the topic from his own life to social hotspots. "There are a lot of topics I've wanted to talk about before, but I always don't write well. Last year you asked me to talk about consumerism, and I don't think I'm good enough, but this year I can say what I want to say, and it's funny, and it's very happy. ”

"If you score 10 points, I will score 10 points this season" Interview with Hulan: I am not a highly educated talk show, and there is no one to set up

Hulan's talk show is loved by many viewers.

The following is Hulan's self-statement:

The impact of new people on the "old man" is large, but the pressure lies more in themselves

When I took third place in "Talk Show Conference 3", I really had regrets at that time. In the middle of the game, any elimination is heart-wrenching and extremely uncomfortable. But you win the championship, you still have to continue to compete. This is not a cool word, nor is it that grapes cannot be eaten and said that grapes are sour. In fact, you jump out and look at the game thing, it's just a form.

That's why I have no regrets about Talk Show 4. This year, there are many newcomers to participate in the "Talk Show Conference", in fact, every year, they have practiced an average of two years offline, saved a lot of good paragraphs, and the impact on the "old man" is still relatively large. But this season, my pressure is more than myself - can I meet the audience's expectations of me? This expectation is not to say who Hulan is going to win, but whether Hulan can be better than last year and whether he can see a breakthrough. This pressure is actually right.

I always think that the creative material of the talk show is endless, but the level of the actor can not keep up, and say some of the more difficult to express, or not so funny material. My first creations were all about picking up the funniest big apple in my life for the past thirty years; but when the big apple was picked up, I was more worried about whether I could use my ability to "enlarge" the remaining little apples. Like many topics this season, I have always wanted to say, but always poorly written. Last year you asked me to talk about consumerism, and I don't think I'm good enough, but this year I can say what I want to say, and it's funny, and it's very happy.

Many people say, you old people who have participated in the program for so many years, why do you still have to come to the competition every year? This matter is actually like asking, Zhang Yimou has been shooting for so many years, why do you still want to make movies?

Talk shows are my outlet for expression, and competition is just one of those forms. If I put my talk show on my own social media, it really doesn't have as many people watching it. So I think if "Talk Show Convention" has always had it, I will always compare it. And after three years of competition, now the ranking doesn't matter to me, it just represents a month-on-year and year-on-year ratio in your industry. What I value more now is whether I think I can be better this year than last year; whether I have written better things.

Hulan now cares more about himself than himself.

Talk shows are civilian enough and can be "instantly satisfied"

My first exposure to talk shows was in 2017, when I inadvertently saw a show for about $100 a ticket. After the performance, the host said that in addition to the performance, they also have open wheat, and newcomers can sign up. But at that time, the level of open wheat was uneven, and everyone went to try the strip, so the ticket price of the performance would be very cheap, basically 20 or 30 yuan to see one, and a glass of wine could be sent. I wanted to try it, so I handed in a paragraph that ridiculed the northeast, which was an old paragraph that I had accumulated many years ago, but the effect was OK.

Talk shows are such a civilian and fair enough thing, and that's one of the things that appeals to me the most. Not only for the audience, but also for the performers, each performance is like opening a blind box, the effect is good, everyone earns; the effect is not good, there is no way.

Another attraction that attracted me was that in the talk show, I could get the opportunity to express myself. As you all know, I was an entrepreneur before. In this job, both the people around you and the books on entrepreneurship will tell you to be a long-termist and to get delayed gratification. Because the usual work is really not so much fun. Five or six years of entrepreneurship, maybe two or three days of happiness is not bad. You have more happy days, but you will have problems. I often wonder if I've done a lot of things because I'm happy one day.

But talk shows are just the opposite. It's a very immediate satisfaction — you say it, the audience laughs right away, and the good or bad of the show immediately bears fruit; the bad part, you can modify it immediately after stepping down. At that time, we performed three times a night, the first performance was not funny, and maybe the second one became funny immediately after the second performance, which was extremely verifiable.

Most importantly, people who haven't been on stage don't understand how excited it is for a person to stand in the spotlight, sit down with hundreds of people, listen carefully to your passages, and then agree, or think you're funny, applaud and cheer you. I've seen a lot of actors, the level is actually not so high, ten times, maybe two or three times to blow up. But it was enough to make them tireless, and it would be difficult to give up that stage again.

After participating in the "Talk Show Conference" for three consecutive times, Hulan's psychology has also changed.

Always curious, creating is like mathematical modeling

I've been doing talk shows for four years, but creative bottlenecks are almost always there. I've never been on stage with a lot of fun and happiness. Give me 5 days and I may have to take the last 1 day to get it out; give me 10 days, too, the last 1 day to get it out. Basically, I have to sleep all night in front of the stage, and I have been changing half an hour before I play, and I always feel that there are emotions that have not been expressed enough. Just like exams, I never start checking the papers 20 minutes early.

However, this [feeling] will actually force you to produce good content.

Usually writing a paragraph, I need to do a lot of work in the early stages. The first is to organize your emotions according to the topic you choose. For example, in the sports special of "Spit Conference 4", because I love to watch basketball and football, I did not watch any athletes' profiles and videos in advance, but without any interference, I thought about what kind of attitudes and ideas I had in these two fields. In this way, on the first level I can filter out the outside world and keep what I really want to express, otherwise everything will be mixed together. That's why I mention the football match between China and Saudi Arabia that year. In 1997, although I was only 8 years old, I really loved watching football. When I went to Dalian for a tour, the taxi driver would show me the stadium of that year. Mentioning that game was really uncomfortable. These real emotions are often what I have to write into paragraphs.

When the emotions are sorted out, the second layer I will go to a large number of relevant topics to see if there is any biased and unpopular knowledge. These things take a lot of effort. At that time, in order to complain about Luo Xiang, for two weeks, I read Luo Xiang's entire criminal law works, and also read "Civil Law" and a lot of legal knowledge. If you look at the last ten books I read on WeChat, you know what topic I want to talk about in this issue. After Luo Xiang's performance, I took a screenshot, and in front of it were "Lecture Notes on Criminal Law", "Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China", "Luo Xiang Said Criminal Law" and so on. You have to watch, otherwise you're not professional and you can only play with some text stuff.

Finally, there is the process of writing. You need to transform the above inner emotions and a lot of pure information things into funny paragraphs, and you can't "scold the street", which is very painful.

In order to reduce this pain, everything in life today is interesting to me. When I saw the words on the street, I wanted to look at them twice, wondering if it would be funny to write this thing. Like now when we talk on the phone, the book in front of my desk is also open. Talk show creation is like a mathematical modeling process, you have a sufficient amount of information input, this model can be built, you may have output; if the number is not enough, you just lift the pen, can not write anything.

I was recently reading books such as Lao Tzu, Zhuangzi, and The Case of Zen Buddhism. I think it's very interesting. In the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu said, "Heaven and earth are not kind, and all things are dogs", and I feel that "talk shows are not kind, and all things are dogs" (laughs). Talk shows are actually fair to anyone, and some people who have just listened to it will feel that it is good to hit the irony, but in fact, we just say everything. There are many similar interesting points, if you can transform into a talk show in the future, open a funny special session about Lao Zhuang, my god! It's also so much fun.

"If you score 10 points, I will score 10 points this season" Interview with Hulan: I am not a highly educated talk show, and there is no one to set up

Writing is painful, but the success of the performance is very tempting.

Reject "highly educated" talk shows

To be honest, I don't understand why I was being labeled a "highly educated talk show." I think eighty percent of the knowledge I covered in talk shows wasn't more than junior high school, and ten percent was in high school. Why do people think that the metaphor of "hard work" and "useless work" is very profound? Isn't it a junior high school physics concept? I've been talking about talk shows for so many years, and maybe in the first episode of this season I talked about a "Mobius Ring," which does seem a little complicated.

I also don't like the concept of "human design". Why should a person have a "human design"? How can you summarize a person in two or three words? This is actually disrespectful to this person. But what I don't understand even more is why many people have experienced the distress of "human design" and especially hope that others will use these things to summarize themselves? I have lived for so many years, I have so many experiences, so many ideas, so many experiences, how can you summarize me with such a condensed vocabulary?

This is also why I have "learning to bully and scum" as my theme of expression in this season. "Xueba" is a relative setting. It's like I said in the paragraph, "At the class reunion, people say I study quantum at Tsinghua, and I say I study duanzi in Xiaoguo." Unless you level up and fight monsters all the way to the top, you will always be in the pile where a certain field is inferior. A lot of things are relative.

Subjectively, I still hope that my talk show can be understood by more people, and I have not thought about turning anyone away.

I always agree that the reason why the talk show industry has developed so quickly is because most of the practitioners have relatively high self-requirements and creative constraints, and will not tell some paragraphs that are very meaningless and practical, but are easy to make everyone laugh. So I'm not as advanced as everyone says. Unless the actors themselves set themselves up and enjoy the fact that the human setting is elevated, others will not be able to set you up.
