The ancient city of Gyeongju, because the Northern Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty were placed in Qingyang Province, also known as Qingyang FuCheng, that is, today's Gyeongseong County, is the land of ancient Northern Feng. In the first year of the Northern Song Dynasty, Fan Zhong flooded Qingzhou and rebuilt the ancient city. The ancient city is bordered by the Ring River to the east and south, and the Rouyuan River to the west, and the site of the city is located on the platform where the two rivers confluence, only the north is connected by land. The ancient city washed the edge of the terrace along the river, cut and built according to the situation, and built the city wall, so that the ancient city was distributed in an irregular belt, long from north to south, narrow from east to west, high in the northwest, low in the southeast, surrounded by mountains around the city, and the two rivers under the city converged. Its shape resembles a phoenix, so it is called Fengcheng. Since the founding of Gyeongju Ancient City, there have been frequent wars and repeatedly destroyed.
In the eighteenth year of Ming Hongzhi (1505), The former superintendent of the Qingyang prefect, Yushi Haoyi, built the Zhou Old Bangmufang to commemorate the historical achievements of the Ancestors of Zhou in Qingcheng, such as planting crops and cutting earth to build a castle.
