"The expedition to the west end of the whole decade, bittersweet Sangzi in the plateau. Only for the reunion of all families, there are green mountains outside the clouds in nine days. This is the poem written by Kong Fansen before his death, and it is also the portrayal and pursuit of his life.

In 1979, Kong Fansen's first aid to Tibet, the organization planned to send him to Gamba County, with an average altitude of more than 4700 meters, when he was consulted, he said happily, I am young, no problem, it is not a big deal to take a few more breaths. In 1988, in the face of an elderly mother, an underage child, and a frail wife, Kong Fansen resolutely made the decision to enter Tibet again. When asked by the organization what difficulties he had, he said: "I am a party cadre and obey the organizational arrangements." During his work in Tibet, he not only worked hard for the development of the snowy plateau, but also often went to the countryside to visit the poor and ask questions, and most of his salary was used to subsidize the Tibetan masses in difficulty. In 1994, he died in the line of duty on a business trip, and there were only two relics on his body: one was only 8 yuan and 6 dimes, and the other was a 12-point proposal for developing Ali's economy written a few days before his death. With his heart full of blood spilled on the plateau, he used his life to practice "the highest state of love for a Communist Party member is to love the people", and interpreted the lofty character of a Communist Party member who has great love and selfless dedication.

Looking at the history of the party over the past hundred years, the great cause of the party and the people has been forged precisely by relying on the sacrifice of the small self and the dedication of the big self by tens of millions of party members. It can be said that the history of the party's century-old struggle is a history in which communists are not afraid of sacrifice and are willing to dedicate themselves to China's revolution, construction, and reform. In the years of revolutionary war in which bloody battles were fought, countless Communists sacrificed their lives for victory. According to incomplete statistics, from 1921 to 1949, there were more than 3.7 million well-known revolutionary martyrs in the country. During the period of peaceful construction, there were also countless Communist Party members who fought on all fronts and fought hard to dedicate themselves. In the northwest desert Gobi, the "two bombs and one star" founding fathers have all their lives cast nuclear shields for the country, "doing earth-shattering things, and burying celebrities in anonymity"; in the battle against poverty, party members and cadres have fought as sharply as possible and sunk to the front line, and more than 1,800 comrades have sacrificed their precious lives for the all-round well-off; in the life-and-death race against the epidemic, countless communist party members have been resolute and resolute, and about 400 party members and cadres have died in the line of duty. As Comrade Mao Zedong once said: "Since ancient times, there has not been a single group in China that, like the Communist Party, has sacrificed everything and sacrificed many people to do such a great thing. ”

Since its birth, our party has been engraved with the brand of sacrifice and dedication. From "sacrificing the individual and striving for revolution" to "always being ready to sacrifice everything for the party and the people," the spirit of "sacrifice" has been consistent in the oath of joining the party; the party constitution also emphasizes: "CPC members must serve the people wholeheartedly and sacrifice everything for individuals"; the "CPC Code of Honesty and Self-Discipline" even more regards "persisting in bearing hardships first, enjoying them later, and being willing to dedicate" as one of the norms for party members' honesty and self-discipline. All these stipulate in essence that sacrifice and dedication are the distinct background of the party and an important spiritual trait of communists.

"It doesn't matter if you behead, as long as the doctrine is true." Fearless, selfless, selfless spirit of sacrifice and dedication is inseparable from rock-like faith and firm faith. To cultivate the character of being willing to sacrifice and dedicate, we must persist in studying and transforming, arm our minds with the party's theories, especially the party's innovative theories, and constantly consolidate the foundation of faith, stabilize the rudder of the mind, and replenish the calcium of the spirit. Comrade Li Dazhao once wrote: "The purpose of life is to develop one's own life, but there are also times when one must sacrifice one's life in order to develop one's life... Noble life, often in the midst of heroic sacrifice. "In order to seek the truth of saving the country and the people, he firmly chose Marxism and did not hesitate to sacrifice his life for it." You don't give, I don't give, who will give? You also ask, I also ask, from whom? "To cultivate the character of being willing to sacrifice and dedicate, we must shoulder the mission of a Communist Party member, be willing to be a screw in the cause of the party and the people, be diligent and dedicated, scrupulously fulfill our duties, and make extraordinary contributions in ordinary posts." Zhang Guimei, the recipient of the July 1st Medal, was a "lamplighter", adhered to the deep mountains and taught for more than 40 years, and expressed the voice of a party member "nine deaths without regret" with selfless dedication. Communists are for the sake of the Great Duke, for the sake of the Great Righteousness, and for the Great Self. To cultivate the character of being willing to sacrifice and dedicate, we must be strict with ourselves, strengthen the cultivation of party spirit, temper ourselves in strict inner-party life, temper ourselves in complex situations and tasks, constantly enhance our spiritual realm and moral determination, and be a person who is dedicated to justice, upright, and spotless. Only in this way can we see it in ordinary times, stand up at critical moments, and be open-minded at critical moments, and fulfill the Zhengzheng oath of "always ready to sacrifice everything for the party and the people."

With a thousand great deeds in mind, a hundred years is only a prologue. The cause is endless, the struggle is not endless, and the spirit of sacrifice and dedication is never outdated. Party members and cadres in the armed forces should vigorously inherit our party's fine tradition of daring to make sacrifices and making contributions, closely link personal development with the requirements of the times and the great cause of strengthening the country and the army, and take up the heavy mission and heavy responsibility on the new road of catching up with the examination and striving for greater glory by sacrificing the small self, achieving the greater self, and pursuing the consciousness of no self.
