The rain in Yuyao is really big! The reporter checked the measured rainfall of the top ten weather stations in Zhejiang (from 08:00 on the 22nd to 09:00 on the 26th), and seven of the top ten stations were in Yuyao! According to the Zhejiang Meteorological Observatory, at present, the rainfall in Yuyao caused by "fireworks" is still increasing, and the cumulative rainfall of Dingjiaba Station is about to exceed 1000 mm!

"On the one hand, the 'fireworks' are full of water vapor, and after landing, most of Ningbo is in its core storm zone, and the rain has surged." Mao Yanjun, senior engineer of the Zhejiang Provincial Climate Center, explained, "On the other hand, Yuyao is affected by the topography of siming mountains to the south, and the updraft is further lifted, the convection is more vigorous, and the rainfall is more intense." This has also led to a typhoon that makes landfall in Zhoushan, Ningbo and other places, and the wind and rain impact in Yuyao and its surrounding areas will be relatively large. ”
However, the key point that the "fireworks" affecting the accumulation process of rain in Zhejiang can break the record is that its movement speed is very slow, resulting in a long wind and rain impact time before and after the landing, and the accumulation of rain in the core rainstorm area is naturally high.

Ma Xinyu, chief expert of the Zhejiang Meteorological Service Center, said that the "fireworks" moved north for a while, fell south for a while, turned west for a while, and even stayed on the island for 5 hours after landing in Zhoushan, moved into Hangzhou Bay and stayed for 11 hours, the reason why its movement path is changeable is that the subtropical high pressure in the north has recently been weak, and there is no other strong guiding air flow around, resulting in the "big guy" fireworks almost relying on their own "internal force", slowly moving in the "saddle field" formed between the mainland high pressure and the sub-height. This has led to persistent heavy rains and high winds in northeastern Zhejiang.
