In 1984, Tang Wenchun graduated from Nanjing Geological School majoring in geological survey and prospecting, graduated from Chengdu University of Technology in 2005 with a major in mineral survey and exploration, and graduated from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) with a doctorate degree in geochemistry in 2008.
Since 1984, Tang Wenchun has worked in the chemical exploration team of Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Exploration and Development, and is currently the chief engineer. Tang Wenchun has been working in the chemical exploration team for 37 years, and his colleagues have left him with many unforgettable experiences.
He has been engaged in mineral exploration and basic geological work for a long time, led the team to establish the "tectonic-magma-fluid coupling pegmatite vein" mineralization mode in the Kerring area of Aba Prefecture, discovered four large and ultra-large lithium deposits, and identified more than 1.7 million tons of new lithium oxide resource reserves; through the experiment of ultra-fine gold mineral exploration method and prospecting target research in the alpine grassland area of northwest Sichuan, discovered and evaluated the super-large gold mineral land of Xinkang Cat; and proposed the prospecting idea of "five-in-one coupling". Guided the pingwu silver mill gold mine deep prospecting new resource reserves close to two large scales; discovered large new types of rare metals rhenium and selenium mineral land, submitted a super large graphite mine census base; presided over and mainly participated in the completion of more than 160,000 square kilometers of 1:200,000, 1:50,000 regional geochemical exploration and regional geology and other national basic work, submitted a number of prospecting target areas and newly discovered mineral sites.
Tang Wenchun has published 26 papers and won 4 first prizes for provincial and ministerial scientific and technological achievements (2R1, 1R5, and 1 group award).
