On the afternoon of October 25, all the commanders and fighters of the Wanli Fire Rescue Brigade in Nanchang City went to the Fang Zhimin Martyrs Cemetery to carry out the theme party day activities, and felt the original mission in tracing the footsteps of the ancestors.
Fang Zhimin, born in 1899, is a native of Yiyang County, Jiangxi Province. In August 1922, he joined the Chinese Socialist Youth League. He joined the Communist Party of China in March 1924. From 1928 to 1933, the peasants who led the uprising persisted in guerrilla warfare, carried out the agrarian revolution, established the Red regime, formed the 10th Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, and created the revolutionary base area in northeast Jiangxi. He combined the universal truth of Marxism with the reality of northeastern Jiangxi and created a whole set of experiences in party building, army building, and red political power. In early November 1934, Fang Zhimin led the Red Army north to resist the Japanese, and was surrounded and blocked by the Kuomintang in southern Anhui Province, fighting hard, and finally being outnumbered, he was arrested in January 1935. While in prison, he wrote important articles such as "An Outline of My Revolutionary Struggle", "Lovely China", "Poverty Alleviation", and "Record of Prison". On August 6, 1935, he bravely rebelled in Nanchang at the age of 36.
In front of the bronze statue of the martyr, facing the statue of martyr Fang Zhimin, all the commanders and fighters of the brigade remembered the heroic souls of the martyrs, remembered the deeds of the martyrs, and relived the oath of joining the party. A large number of words, pictures, and objects have made the traces of history jump in front of the eyes, make the stories of the revolutionary ancestors linger in the ears, and vividly display the glorious image of Fang Zhimin's communist party members: Comrade Fang Zhimin has always persisted in integrating theory with practice, proceeding from the actual situation in everything, and constantly opened up a new situation in the development of the cause; he has always maintained a strong revolutionary fighting spirit, and has been indomitable and heroic in struggle for the interests of the party and the people; he is upright, upright, and honest, and has always maintained the political nature and revolutionary integrity of communists.
In this theme party day activity, all the commanders and fighters of the brigade remembered the revolutionary martyrs, received spiritual baptism, and experienced the immortal achievements of the revolutionary martyrs with blood and loyalty at close range, and further strengthened their confidence in the cause of fire fighting. They all expressed one after another that they should always remember the heroic deeds and dedication spirit of the revolutionary martyrs, earnestly enhance the cultivation of party spirit, strengthen their ideals and convictions, and always be the night watchmen of the party and the people.
