Meizhou, 27 Oct (China News Network) -- The 47th session of the Standing Committee of the Seventh People's Congress of Meizhou City was held on 27 October, and Ma Zhengyong, secretary of the Cpc Meizhou Municipal CPC Committee and secretary of the party leading group of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, attended the meeting as an observer. The meeting appointed Wang Hui as vice mayor of the Meizhou Municipal People's Government, decided on his acting mayor's post, and decided that Li Yuanqing would act as chairman of the Standing Committee of the Seventh People's Congress of Meizhou City.

At the same time, the meeting decided to accept Ma Zhengyong's request to resign as mayor of the Meizhou Municipal People's Government due to a change in his work; to accept Wu Shaorong's request to resign from the post of chief procurator of the Meizhou Municipal People's Procuratorate due to a change in his job; and to accept Chen Min's request to resign as chairman of the Standing Committee of the Meizhou Municipal People's Congress due to a change in his job. The meeting appointed Wu Wenzhi as deputy chief procurator of the Meizhou Municipal People's Procuratorate and decided to act as chief procurator.

The meeting also voted to approve a number of lists of appointments and dismissals. (End)
