According to the information in the public announcement before the appointment of Guangdong Provincial Management Cadres on October 17, Wang Hui, male, Han ethnicity, born in August 1971, graduate student, master of economics, member of the Communist Party of China, deputy secretary general of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee (at the level of the main office).

On the afternoon of June 29 this year, Wang Hui, then deputy secretary general of the Guangdong Provincial CPC Committee, led a team to Hetou Village in Jiulong Town to hold a forum on counterpart assistance.

Wang Hui fully affirmed the results of Hetou Village's work in the construction of grass-roots party organizations, poverty alleviation, guarantee and improvement of people's livelihood, development of characteristic industries, improvement of living environment, and improvement of rural customs and people's appearance in the past five years. According to the official resume, Ma Zhengyong was born in January 1973, graduated from the Department of Philosophy of Peking University in 1995, stayed on to work after graduation, served as the secretary of the Youth League Committee of the Department of Philosophy of Peking University, and later served as the deputy chief and section chief of the management section of the Student Work Department of Peking University, the director of the Management Office of the Student Work Department, and the deputy director of the Student Work Department.

After that, he worked in Guangzhou for a long time. In 2017, Ma Zhengyong served as the secretary of the Haizhu District Party Committee of Guangzhou For three years, and in January 2020, he was transferred to the deputy secretary and acting mayor of Qingyuan Municipal Party Committee of Guangdong Province, and the mayor of Qingyuan City in May of the same year.

From June 2020 to July 2021, Ma Zhengyong served as deputy director of the Regulation Bureau of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee. In July 2021, after Ma Zhengyong ended his suspension, he was transferred to the deputy secretary of the Meizhou Municipal Party Committee and acting mayor, and in August he was appointed as the mayor of Meizhou City.

Meizhou is located in the northeast of Guangdong Province. In 1988, it was established as a prefecture-level city.
