The whales usually meet here. Don't think it's "flashy", in fact, all the functions that the living room needs to have, there are all here: "coffee table" is this foldable outdoor table, and the four camping chairs centered on it are "sofas".
Comfort is not bad either! For example, this kind of camping chair, the center of gravity is relatively low, sitting in it has a feeling of "paralysis", relaxing on all fours, very close to the earth, so comfortable. I want to buy one and put it at home.
Kettle, tea set, hand-brewed coffee maker... Everything is available, and if you look closely, you will find that it is still very exquisite: the package is divided into coffee bags, lunch packages, a variety of coffee cups, tea cups, tableware, one or more people eat pots and pans of different capacities, a variety of dazzling.
The shelf next to it is the "side table" in the traditional living room, and there are also "small lights" responsible for the atmosphere, and some lights and cups and sauces are placed on the shelves.
With such a small camp, when she is sometimes too busy to go outdoor camping, she will come from the work area, sit here, make a pot of tea, you can escape from work, pretend to be on vacation, this is called "spiritual camping" haha.

I also experienced it and made myself a pot of tea here. I have to say that it is really important to create an atmosphere, instantly switching from the interview state to the outdoor relaxation state. No wonder the whale says it's one of the most popular areas of the house, and friends love to sit here and chat.
However, she did not arrange this reception area entirely for the sake of chic style, but also fully considered convenience. Because this Loft is about 60 square meters, the space is not large, and there are many camping utensils, there is really no space for special storage. Just lay them all out. You can use them normally, but when you camp, pack them up and you can go.
So she chooses a lot of things can be multi-purpose, light and easy to carry, tables and chairs are basically removable or foldable; the storage box lid is a table, pots and pans can be folded like Russian matryoshka dolls, convenient to save space...
In this particular living room, even firewood is available. The whale believes in the LNT (traceless mountain forest) principle, what it is like when it goes to the wild, what it should be when it leaves. Usually, even when she goes to a campground that allows open fires, she will bring her own firewood and rarely burn grass or tree roots. These pines were specially cut and sent to her by a friend who runs a farm in Yunnan, and they were put in her home and turned into a special decoration.

As an art agent and curator, her home is full of works by young artists, including paintings, lanterns, and various works of art, most of which are created by the artists she excavates and represents.

Looking up from the work area, you can see the bedroom upstairs. The space is not large, only 22 square meters, she feels that it is enough to keep the space for sleeping and storing clothes, and other activities are done in the common area as much as possible.
The wall behind the bed is painted dark blue, with white linens, wooden floors, cabinets, so that the space has a calm feeling, very comfortable and relaxed.
Many of her hanging pictures at home were taken when she went on a trip, and the bedside one was taken when she was camping in Antarctica.

Before moving here, the whale was also a plant killer, because it was very depressing not to go out during the epidemic, and her friend suggested that she raise plants, saying that this is a process of delayed gratification, planting them to wait for them to sprout and flower, and each process must be painstakingly worked.
She even paid for classes to study the relationship between soil and water, fertilizer and climate. Then she understood that there was no such thing as a "plant killer" and that it would only die because you didn't seriously understand and study it.
If the home is a slowly growing container, then the home of the whale can be said to be a kaleidoscope. Everywhere you look, you can find camping gear, hanging paintings, ornaments, books... You can see that she is carefully managing her space and life.

Feel the enchanting "wild" living room
When I was shooting that day, I said that I had never experienced camping, and I always felt that it would take a long time to prepare, which was a big project. The whale clapped his hands and said why not take you to feel it now.
When she said that she began to pack, her movements were quite neat, and there was no need for anyone to intervene, and I, the layman, could only play next to me.
In addition to her home, she also has some equipment like a large tent that is usually placed in the car.
The place we went to camp was just around a river near her house, about an hour's drive away, next to a lighthouse. After settling in, we started setting up tents and canopy. There was a big whale, a skilled hand, much faster than I expected, and the camp quickly looked decent.
The process of tapping and tapping is very relaxed, don't look at the phone or anything, just concentrate on the things at hand, no wonder she says that she is addicted to this kind of decoration every time.
Then there's my favorite part of the whole camping session: the picnic! Boiling water for coffee, toast on toast, we fell on our camping chairs on all fours, the aroma began to overflow, so comfortable ~ especially when the campfire was lit, the atmosphere of chatting was suddenly different.
She says it's already the most simplified camping. No matter how far you travel, she says, you still need a place to come back, a place that is completely your own. Especially every time I came back from camping, the whole person was dirty and tired, taking a hot bath and lying on the bed, two cats snuggled around, that moment was simply too comfortable! She couldn't help but ask herself, why go out and suffer? But the next morning I woke up and started planning my next trip again.
