Recently, the first 2021 skills competition and the "Lucheng Throwing Cake" Food and Culture Festival in Lucheng District of Changzhi City officially kicked off. More than 110 players from various industries in the district competed in 5 competition categories.

In recent years, Lucheng District has deeply implemented the "strategy of enriching the people with skills" proposed by the provincial party committee and the provincial government, adhered to the improvement of the skills of the whole people as a major people's livelihood project, vigorously implemented the project of "everyone holding a certificate and a skilled society", focused on industrial transformation, mode transformation, kinetic energy conversion, strengthened the integration of industry and education, supply and demand docking, and continued to increase the skill training covering the three industries, aiming to let more workers learn a skill.

As a provincial intangible cultural heritage in the district, "Lucheng Throwing Cake" was also included in the competition items of this skill competition. The district adheres to the new development concept, focuses on creating a special labor service brand of "Lucheng Throwing Cake", and through the construction of "unified trademark Logo, production technology, business standards, training and certification, store standards, centralized publicity and marketing, and centralized excavation of culture", it has become bigger and stronger in the "Lucheng Throwing Cake" industry, encouraging and guiding Lucheng Cake Throwing Master to go out of their homes to start their own businesses, so that the thousand-year-old brand of "Lucheng Throwing Cake" will glow with "new vitality", and the "Lucheng Cake" will be built into a "new engine" for Lucheng to promote farmers' income.

It is understood that this vocational skills competition has a total of "Lucheng Throwing Cake" exhibition, electrician, welder, auto repair, health care and other 5 types of work, each type of work set up a first prize, the prize of 5,000 yuan; the second prize of 2, the prize of 3,000 yuan; the third prize of 3, the prize of 1,000 yuan. The first prize was awarded the title of "Lucheng Craftsman"; the second prize and the third prize were awarded the title of "Lucheng Craftsman Technical Expert". In the three-day competition, the contestants will show the "housekeeping skills", carry forward the spirit of craftsmanship of excellence, promote training, compete on the same stage, show superb skills, and strive to become a technical champion.
