According to Li Tieshen, the leader of the production measurement team and vice chairman of the China Agricultural Science and Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation Alliance, in the 102 mu rice field of the demonstration base, 3 plots of land were randomly selected, with an area of 1.014 mu, 1.010 mu and 1.006 mu, respectively, and manual harvesting, machine threshing, and solid harvesting, and the final average yield per mu reached 1326.77 kg.
"This experimental project in cooperation with the Silicon Valley Agricultural Science Research Institute in Hebei Province is a project personally handed over by Academician Yuan Longping during the 'Hybrid Rice High Yield Research Work Conference' in Hainan in December 2020. Academician Yuan arranged for the third generation of hybrid rice new varieties 'Sanyou No. 2' to cooperate with the Silicon Valley Agricultural Science Research Institute of Hebei Province, giving full play to the advantages of strong and strong seed fertilizer, hoping to achieve the goal of yielding 1300 kilograms per mu and presenting a gift for the centenary of the founding of the party. On October 29, 2018, the average yield was 1203.36 kg per mu, creating the highest and latest record for hybrid rice yield in the world.
