Guided by the Farmland Quality Monitoring and Protection Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, organized by the Science and Technology Department of Hebei Province, and composed of 7 experts from the National Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Alliance, Huazhong Agricultural University, Hebei Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Hebei Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences and other units, the yield measurement team randomly selected 3 plots of land in the demonstration base of 102 mu of rice fields, with an area of 1.014 mu, 1.010 mu and 1.006 mu respectively, and carried out manual harvesting, machine threshing, and actual harvesting, and the final average yield per mu reached 1326.77 kg.

Dr. Li Xinqi, director of the Key Laboratory of Saline-tolerant Rice Biology and Genetic Breeding of the Ministry of Rural Agriculture, said that the experimental project cooperated with the Silicon Valley Agricultural Science Research Institute of Hebei Province was personally handed over by Academician Yuan Longping during the "Hybrid Rice High Yield Research Conference" in Hainan in December 2020. Academician Yuan arranged for the third generation of hybrid rice new varieties "Sanyou No. 2" to cooperate with the Silicon Valley Agricultural Science Research Institute of Hebei Province, giving full play to the advantages of strong and strong seed fertilizer, hoping to achieve the goal of yielding 1300 kilograms per mu and presenting a gift for the centenary of the founding of the party.

At the 2012 national "two sessions", Academician Yuan Longping, who is also a deputy to the National People's Congress, and President Song Furu saw each other as before, and Academician Yuan was very interested in the multifunctional silicone fertilizer invented by President Song Furu, because silicon is the key element of high yield of rice, and the two conducted in-depth discussions around "seed fertilizer matching".

In that year, the National Hybrid Rice Engineering Technology Research Center signed a cooperation agreement with the Silicon Valley Agricultural Science Research Institute of Hebei Province founded by Song Furu. In 2014, the Silicon Valley Academy of Agricultural Sciences was listed as one of the demonstration sites of the sixth phase of the national super hybrid rice "100 million" high-yield research demonstration project, and specially transferred 102 acres of land to carry out high-yield experiments.

Under the leadership of Song Furu, the Silicon Valley Academy of Agricultural Sciences carried out high-yield research in strict accordance with "good land, good seeds, good laws, and good attitudes". In 2016, the average yield per mu reached 1082 kg, setting a world record for rice yields in high latitudes. In 2017 and 2018, the average yield per mu reached 1149.02 kg and 1203.36 kg respectively, breaking the world record for two consecutive years.

On September 7, 2018, at the 10th "Yuan Longping Agricultural Science and Technology Award Ceremony", Song Furu won the "10th Yuan Longping Agricultural Science and Technology Award" together with five experts at home and abroad.

On December 20, 2020, at the Hainan Base of the National Hybrid Rice Engineering and Technology Research Center, Yuan Longping presided over the "2021 Rice Ultra-high Yield Work Conference", put forward the goal of 1300 kilograms per mu, and assigned students to bring the newly cultivated "Three Excellent No. 1" new varieties to the Silicon Valley Experimental Base for guidance, hoping that the new varieties and silicone functional fertilizers can continue to create miracles and present gifts for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party.

After taking over the task, Song Furu immediately organized the team to formulate a key research plan, and on March 28, 2021, the small arch shed was raised, and the strong seedlings were planted with tillers on May 18. The test field has just finished planting seedlings, and on May 22, the bad news of the death of Academician Yuan Longping came. Song Furu rushed to Changsha to mourn that afternoon, and in front of Yuan Longping's portrait, Song Furu secretly resolved: "Take care of every seedling and fulfill your long-cherished wish." ”
