author:Wind Balloon No. 88

One playwright once said: "I am often in a trance, and there are once living lives buried under my feet, and I step on their bodies, and our happiness and our lives come from their brave sacrifices." ”

When Dr. Sun Yat-sen was born, China was experiencing defeat in the Opium War. Sovereignty has been lost, land has been cut off, and all kinds of sovereignty and dignity have been violently trampled on. China's door was forcibly opened, the infiltration of foreign forces pulled China to a semi-colonial society, China's economy began to slump, and the people gradually lost their lives.

In his youth, after witnessing the shattering of mountains and rivers and the destruction of lives, Dr. Sun Yat-sen embarked on the revolutionary road of resisting feudal autocracy and foreign invaders without hesitation. He founded the Xingzhong Association and the League Association, put forward the Three People's Principles of nationality, civil rights, and people's livelihood, actively disseminated revolutionary ideas, extensively united revolutionary forces, launched armed uprisings continuously, and ran everywhere and shouted loudly to promote the democratic revolution.

The Xinhai Revolution, led by Sun Yat-sen, even though it failed to change China's semi-colonial and semi-feudal society, still made great contributions to the journey of China's modern history and was an important cornerstone for saving the people of the country from the depths of the waters. The greatness of Sun Yat-sen lies not only in his achievements, but also in the spirit of Sun Yat-sen. It is his lofty demeanor of loving the motherland and dedicating himself to the motherland, his broad feelings of serving the public and caring for the people in the world, his excellent qualities of pursuing the truth and advancing with the times, and even more his spirit of perseverance and indomitable struggle.
