The scene was a mess
On September 7, Chengdu residents found that the osmanthus trees on both sides of The Osmanthus Lane had all been cut down!
This 300-year-old Guihua Alley was one of the eleven Bingding Hutongs in the city as early as the Qing Dynasty, then known as "Dangui Hutong". The alley is less than 1,000 meters, and with the osmanthus trees on both sides of the alley, it is a leisurely and pleasant beautiful view of Chengdu.
The picture above and below shows the comparison of the osmanthus tree in the past and present
In previous years, when the golden autumn season came, the air of this osmanthus lane was filled with the fragrance of osmanthus flowers. But now only the remnants of the osmanthus tree remained in the alley, a mess.
The owner of a hardware store in the alley said that the osmanthus tree was cut on the weekend, "for 3 days." "No one said anything about it before the cut, and there was no departmental notice beforehand."
The merchant at the end of the alley said: "The osmanthus road should be renovated, the road should be re-paved, and the wall should also be reorganized; the newly planted trees are still osmanthus trees." ”
Once Osmanthus Lane
Decades of osmanthus trees have all been cut down. The merchants and residents in the alley feel very sorry.

In the early stage, 22 osmanthus trees have been standardized.
