Hundreds of Thousands of Chapters Qiu Blacksmiths Make Weapons to Fight the Japanese Kou - Eternal Memories in newspaper clippings (Part 2)

Memories Embedded in Newspaper Clippings (essay)

Snatching tools was not as direct as snatching weapons, and the clever Zhangqiu blacksmith later learned the skill of snatching weapons.

There are more than 80 blacksmiths in the Gun Factory in Sanshanyu Village, and they have made many contributions to the fight against the Japanese Kou. One day in June 1943, the Eighth Route Army guerrillas asked them to build 120 spears in 20 days. Time is tight and the task is heavy, so while organizing forces to build as soon as possible, they also studied and went to the Puji Japanese puppet army stronghold to seize. On March 8, at the Big Market in Puji Town, Yuan Rufa, director of the gun factory, mixed with the crowd to reconnoiter the enemy's situation. He found many ghosts drunk in the hotel and immediately informed the gun factory of the situation. 80 blacksmiths and 60 militiamen rushed to the stronghold, seized 51 spears and more than 2,000 rounds of ammunition, and completed the task 7 days ahead of schedule.

Savor the "take-ism" and feel that there is infinite wisdom in the Zhangqiu blacksmith.

Shi Xingdong, an officer of the Armed Forces Department of Zhangqiu City, is an authentic Zhangqiu person. His interjection led everyone to the environment where the zhangqiu blacksmith took up the gun and knife and engaged in a deadly struggle with the devil.

In October 1937, in the face of the crazy attack of the Japanese Kou, Han Fuyu abandoned the city and fled south, and Jinan fell. The great enemy is present, the national crisis. With the help of the guerrillas of the Eighth Route Army, on February 16, 1938, a Zhangqiu People's Anti-Japanese Salvation Army of more than 80 people, composed of more than half of the blacksmiths, was established. Li Mancun (Major General, Order of Independence freedom of the second class, order of liberation of the first class) of Wanshan Village of Zhangqiu, Chen Ying of Sanshanyu Village of Zhangqiu North (lieutenant general, medal of independence and freedom of the second class, liberation medal of the second class) and others established the Zhangqiu People's Anti-Japanese National Salvation Army. The anti-Japanese regulations and the discipline of the troops were drafted and promulgated, and everyone filled out the "Anti-Japanese Volunteer Letter", indicating that they would fight to the death with the devils.

This was the first civilian anti-Japanese armed force in Zhangqiu. Since then, they have begun an arduous struggle for salvation. While making its own weapons, the Zhangqiu Anti-Japanese National Salvation Army secretly attacked the Devil's stronghold and often cooperated with the regular troops of the Eighth Route Army to fight against the Japanese. On March 4, 1938, they joined forces with more than 1,000 people from the Fifth Army of the Shandong People's Anti-Japanese Salvation Army to garrison zhangqiu wanshan, Sanshanyu and other villages, and on the same day surrounded and annihilated the "maintenance meeting" of the puppet leader Meng Yuelou. In late April, together with a unit of the Fifth Army, they attacked the Japanese stronghold of Puji Town at night, destroying the section west of Puji on the Jiaoji Railway and cutting off the Ghost Traffic Line. Later, this team continued to expand, growing to more than 4,000 people, and was incorporated into the Eighth Route Army Shandong People's Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Group.

After all, there were a small number of people who could participate in the regular anti-Japanese contingent, and most of the zhangqiu blacksmiths spontaneously organized themselves and fought to the death with the Japanese. In the summer of 1943, someone reported to Zhang Wanmin, director of the Zhangjiazhuang Gun Factory, that more than a dozen ghosts in the Japanese and pseudo-strongholds of Tianzun Village followed the puppet army out of the village to sweep up, and the old nest was empty. Zhang Wanmin felt that the enemy's troops were scattered and was a good opportunity to teach them a lesson, so he organized the militia and blacksmiths to divide the troops into two roads, marching all the way to Tianzun Village, and intercepting the devils' retreat back to the stronghold all the way.

A godsend. Zhang Wanmin went all the way to the Japanese puppet stronghold of Tianzun Village and found several ghosts and puppet soldiers who remained behind playing cards and drinking, unguarded. Just as they were guessing the punch, more than 20 ghost-headed knives pressed against their necks. A ghost who had slipped through the net saw that the situation was not good, picked up the machine gun and fired a shuttle of bullets into the air. The enemy who went out to sweep heard the sound of gunfire and turned back to the nest, not knowing that the blacksmiths had been waiting for a long time, and before they could figure out what was going on, they were killed by dozens of blacksmiths who rushed down the cliff and turned over on their horses, abandoned their weapons and fled. In this battle, 11 devils were killed and one case of weapons and ammunition were captured.

The story of the blacksmith and the enemy fighting to the death is still vividly remembered. During the 8-year War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, they attacked the Japanese Kou more than 100 times, killing and wounding nearly a thousand Japanese puppet troops.

26 years, nearly a third of the length of life. Time has worn away so much of my memory, but this interview with Zhang Qiu seems to be still in sight. Now that I recall the story of the Zhangqiu Armed Forces Department like several family treasures, I can't help but give a thumbs up: Zhangqiu made, good; Zhangqiu blacksmith, good looking!
