Suzhou Ganjiang Road, Gujiaqiao to Yanqiao, the situation in the late 1980s and early 1990s

Ganjiang Road is named after the ancient sword casting master Ganjiang. Ganjiang Road, on the other hand, is a modern road built in 1935. In the 1990s, it was widened and extended again, and the final situation was today's "two roads and one river and a flat river, and the ancient rhyme and the present will dry the scenery".

In addition to the relocation and construction of a very small part of the ancient buildings, a large number of ancient buildings have disappeared, so that the Dry Road has completely changed its appearance.

I try to lead everyone back to the old days. Today on gujiaqiao to Yanqiao, the old time scene of this road to share with you, but also please add to the old Suzhou people, thank you in advance.

Matsuzuru Board Yard.

Dry roads in the old days

In the old days, Gujia Bridge to Yan Bridge was named Songhe Banchang. Songhe Banchang and xinxin preschool are both places where Suzhou people live, but there is a clear difference in the streetscape. Matsuzuru Banba has a high-gate large family, although these former adult families have scattered in the folk houses, but the tone is still there.

At that time, in the Songhe Banchang, except for a tobacco and sugar shop on the corner of the Yanqiao Bridge, there were Gusu families on both sides of the road.

There are two old houses on the north street side of the palace lane entrance to the east.

One seems to be the first gate hall on the corner of Palace Lane, and I have relatives living in it. There were at least five or six inside, and every time they entered, everyone lived full, and all day and night, Zhang Sanlisi's voice kept giggling. The smell of the city is stronger than the current "old, broken, old", and the living is also crowded. However, it is rare to see people destroying the structure of the house and building it randomly. Unlike today, the decoration of the home has made the old house full of holes and unrecognizable.

Another big mansion was the carton warehouse of the ink factory in the palace alley, and I remember that there was a hall that was so big that it was full of cardboard boxes.

In addition to the memory of these two mansions, the others had to borrow fake related information to share with everyone.

Sun Yue's former residence (The front door was originally at No. 724 Ganjiang Road, and the back door was in Xiaocaojia Lane. Now the remnants of the Horse Building, from Xiao Cao Jia Lane in and out).

The appearance of the Songhe BoardInga is the site in front of the Sun House, which was originally called the Songhe Banchang after the Sun Yue Awarding Field.

Sun Yuexian (1639-1708), a native of Suzhou. During the Kangxi Dynasty, he was a jinshi (進士) and an official to the ceremonial attendant. Sun Yueshun was a calligrapher, and he gained the trust and respect of the Kangxi Emperor with his pure learning of Dong Qichang Kung Fu.

Sun Zhai was built for the fortieth year of the Kangxi Dynasty (1701), and the new site of the special weaving Dali Temple Secretary Li Xubei was built. In the middle of the road, there is a plaque of the imperial book "Moyun Hall" of the Kangxi Emperor of the Holy Ancestors, and the hall is very spacious, known as the "Hall of Hundred Tables".

Sun Yue's former residence is the only remaining horse building

In 1984, the "Hundred Tables Hall" was demolished, and several residential buildings were built on the site of the hall. In 1992, after the road was widened, Sun Yue's former residence only had a horse building, with 2 halls and 5 rooms in width, sitting north and facing south, and two compartments in the east and west. The status quo is in ruins.

Wenqitang (712 Ganjiang East Road).

The house advocates the dedication of wings, Suzhou people, birth and death years are unknown. Together with his brother Zhang Fengyi and brother Zhang Yanyi, he was called "Wuzhong Sanzhang". He is the author of "Wenqitang Collection", "Zhiqi Collection", "Reading Yi Jiwen" and so on.

Wen QiTang

Wenqi Hall was originally three entrances, and the entrance hall was demolished before liberation. When the road was widened, the two compartments in front of the car hall were demolished and the patio was reduced.

Wenqi Hall remains, covering an area of 650 square meters, sitting north and facing south, there are halls, car halls and east and west compartments, as well as brick carved gate towers, etc., its architectural style retains the Structure of the Ming Dynasty, which is rare in Suzhou City. During the restoration process in 2008, an old plaque of the Ming Dynasty "Wenqi Hall" was also found in the hidden place.

The current owner's surname is Tang in Singapore, and the gate is closed for a long time.

Gu Jimei's "ZhiYanTang".

Gu Jimei, a native of Suzhou, was the ancestor of Gu Yuan, a famous scholar and bibliophile in the Qing Dynasty. During the Qing Dynasty, he was a feudal minister. After the mother's illness resigned and returned to the province, the Yongzheng Emperor approved it, and gave Gu Yan and Bao Mo to reward and encourage. Later, he built a "Zhiyan Hall" in his hometown of Suzhou Ganjiangfang GongXiangkou, thanking the emperor for his great grace and encouraging his descendants.

Gu Jimei's "Zhi Yan Tang", I only heard its name, did not find the field. If any netizens know, they can tell me, thank you here.
